🌸MY FAVOURITE DAY OF THE YEAR🌸

Today is always the highlight of my year - it’s my opportunity to take the time to really give thanks to my beautiful crew of volunteers. These incredible women give so selflessly of their time to come and look after little ones while their mums attend the Baby Splash & Mum’s AquaFit and the Mummafit classes.

So with all my heart, I thank:

Yesterday, I caught up with Gaynor at her beautiful rooms in Currambine. What an absolute delight she is!

Gaynor is an endorsed Midwife with over 20 years experience. She, along with her whole team, shares my passion of providing antenatal and postnatal care for women with the support and guidance that you deserve to help through this phase of your life

I was blown away that for $300 you can have absolutely every element of your antenatal care through this clinic as well as eight weeks postnatal care including services from a Lactation Consultant. This is absolutely astounding.

🌸BEST WAY TO FINISH A TERM🌸

Term three of our MummaFit classes has been awesome! I have loved seeing mums who have managed to just get back into Fitness after having a baby, women being able to get to classes with toddlers, mums being able to prioritise their fitness goals and seeing mums absolutely smash their fitness goals!!

For the last few weeks of the term I’ve also been super lucky to have my son help me out during the classes as he was finishing off his final uni prac. And if the mums thought I was a hard taskmaster, they hadn’t yet met my son!

If you would like to join us for term 4 and get fit for Christmas, we would love to see you there. ALL MUMS AND LITTLE ONES ARE WELCOME

🌸TELL ME YOU ARE IN PERIMENOPAUSE WITHOUT SAYING YOU ARE IN PERIMENOPAUSE - IYKYK🌸

Check me out! Standing under the fan and sporting a wrist brace and an elbow brace 😂

Perimenopause brings with a host of symptoms, most of which I am managing quite well with MHT (estrogel), but lately I have just been hit with increased joint pains, poor sleep, being a grump and sensation of running pretty hot again. So I’ll be off to the GP this week to have another chat.

One thing I’m extremely grateful for is my ability to exercise and know how to adapt exercise for a perimenopausal body. Exercise becomes so much more important for us at this age to maintain cardiovascular health and strength and I feel fortunate that I have been able to modify my programs to make sure I can continue moving.

🌸BLADDER CANCER AT 17 - YOU CAN HELP🌸

Imagine being 17 and being diagnosed with bladder cancer - this is the reality of one of our friend’s daughters. I’m appealing to anyone who may be able to, especially my pelvic health colleagues who will understand the journey that lies ahead, to help this family with the upcoming costs of surgery, recovery and long term rehab and life planning

Amy is due to head to Melbourne for surgery to remove her bladder and the construction of a new bladder. There is a really long road ahead for this young lady and any support would be so appreciated. Link is in the comments
