Black Beauty is on offer to be yours for $250!
The kitchen was designed for the purpose of being able to serve organic coffee and chai to our friends, but the old power board won’t take the charge that’s needed to get it going, so after much contemplation around releasing, she can now be part of your dream space.
It will need two strong people to lift and take it to your car.

The little sweet chair from yesterday’s post has gone to its new home. Thank you Jaime, you’ll see it when doors are open again.
Today I’m selling this dresser. It has been cleaned up sanded painted red and given some life. Touches of pale gold has been added to highlight the details and given a really soft olive colour to represent the love I have for Australian colours.
The back and mirror come off for getting it into your car and also if you’d rather make it a cute desk rather than a dressing table.

HumbleFolk is moving on...
As there has been plenty of time to contemplate how I wish to move forward, I’m consolidating HumbleFolk to merge into more of who I am.
This means I will have HumbleFolk and Liberty Yoga under my own name, Gaelle Pettifer. Rather than being an educator or a creative artist, I will be me.
I’d love to know you’re fave pic here on HumbleFolk and be sure to follow me over at .pettifer if you’re not already.
The content will be merged into a wholehearted depiction of how I curate my life and what it involves.
Ps. This mid century re-do has been carefully sanded and waxed to bring out the natural pale wood and reupholstered in a suede like fabric. It is for sale for $120.

The last small while has been one that has thrown me into a thinly veiled abyss of uncertainty. I know after 5 weeks, a way to move forward is beginning to reveal itself.
What my experiences have been can easily be thrown into my next creative project that surrounds notions of Ophelia’s story.
I live a particular version of crazy every day, so I’ll be questioning the merits of madness and the peculiarities around the descension and ascension of it.

Ophelia was steered by her father to be pure and innocent, for his own sake and beliefs, Hamlet wanted her because she was pure and innocent and ready to be tampered with, for his own sake and benefits.
Ophelia tried to follow her developing mind, heart and body, but with all the set ups of her belief structure being so controlled, the results of her decisions left her reeling with self conflict and confusion.
She has beauty and grace.

Ophelia’s not mad, she’s just a little crazy!
My next foray into expressing my story bound imagination is through Ophelia. She’s not dead, just experiencing life and growing accustomed to the way she processes emotion.
The story of Shakespeare’s Ophelia is one I feel akin to and I look forward to giving her a voice beyond the scrutiny she was put through from her family and beloved. Oh, she has sooooo much to say, hehe!

Movement has had a big impact on me in lots of different ways...
I teach yoga, so there’s that, I get into a space and see where my body moves me, organically shifting the weight, building the shape and expressing the flow of life.
I’ve moved where I love a lot in my life too, seriously I’m a gypsy. Three and a bit years here in Albury town, in the same house, is the longest I’ve been somewhere since I left home nearly 35yrs ago.
I also adore, love and am so interested in movement within the images I take. Most images of me, (across the socials), if they aren’t tagged are self portraits and is where inspiration often comes from. Flying angel wings, spinning and twirling with a free air of grace, dressing up or not at all, there’s an individual take on personal expression that means something deep to me and it also ‘moves’ me to share it.
I’m still taking enquiries for photo shoots because we can do what we do with a connection that is felt more than the distance between us.

I’m feeling strangely at the moment, like everyone else, big decisions are being contemplated and life trajectories are shifting.
Photo shoots are still going ahead, next Monday’s New Moon Circle is also still open for participants and I continue to desire connection in person with those who are open to it!
