A heartfelt thank you to Marni and The Nurso community in Brisbane's bayside! 🙌

This incredible group raised more than $5,000 for Mater Foundation and donated thoughtful gifts to women undergoing breast cancer treatment at Mater Cancer Care Centre Redland during the Christmas season. 💕🎁

Marni knows firsthand how challenging it can be to spend the holidays in hospital after her own breast cancer journey. Her compassion - and the generosity of The Nurso community - made this Christmas brighter for so many women. 🌟🥰

Renowned breast cancer specialist Dr Chris Pyke has bowed out of Mater’s operating theatres after almost 40 years of life-saving surgery.

Dr Pyke operated on around 25,000 breast cancer patients during his prestigious career at Mater.

Mater Hospital Brisbane General Manager Luke Worth said Dr Pyke was not only a great surgeon, but a ‘generous mentor and coach … who has made an art of making people smile’.
