It's not about the Bike :)
If you have been wondering where Ben is going & why he bought a new bike & rode that 1 time out at Ferguson Valley, it is to do The Gibb Challenge - a 660km bike ride from Derby to El Questro to help raise funds for the Kyle Andrews Foundation.
So this time next week Ben (& his teammates) will be a few hundred km's into their long & dusty ride along the Gibb River Road, most likely suffering from chafe, saddle soreness, dust inhalation, muscle cramps, fatigue, dehydration & a number of other old age conditions!
But you can help him feel better & give him the strength to journey on by donating to help raise money for the Kyle Andrews Foundation.
The Kyle Andrews Foundation was established as a legacy to a brave young Broome boy, Kyle Andrews who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 11. In early 1998 Kyle was undergoing treatment for leukaemia at Princess Margaret Hospital and had a dream of bringing some of his young friends from Ward 3B to Cable Beach so that, in his words "they might feel better". The Foundation has a new project & hopefully the amount raised is high enough to help get Kyle's Getaway all finished down in Busselton along the 'Holy Mile' camp sites.
Please click on the link below & donate if you can, any amount is appreciated :)
