BRRRRrrrrr... Good wintery morning!

It’s chilly out there — and for many of us, the cold brings stiffness in the joints, tension in the muscles, and a strong urge to hibernate. The winter blues can creep in, too.

Our nervous system works harder in the cooler months, using extra energy to stay warm. The sympathetic (fight-or-flight) response is more easily activated, causing the body to brace against the cold. As cortisol (our stress hormone) rises, we may feel more anxious, fatigued, or on edge.

Meanwhile, the rest-and-digest response slows down — less sunlight and lower melatonin levels can make sleep lighter and moods heavier.

Massage is a powerful way to support the nervous system and bring the body back into balance. It helps tonify the parasympathetic response, easing tension and restoring calm across the body, mind, and emotions.

Come step into my heated, cozy space and be nurtured.
Each session blends remedial massage, Lomi Lomi flow, warmed oil, hot stones, and intentional touch to melt away tension and bring you back to yourself.

Located at The Breathing Space
Bookings open Thursdays
This week: 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm

My very skillful and diligent Aunty Pomarie Jensen made these beautiful rongoa balms from our medicine plants of Aotearoa 💚

We have Kohe kohe, tutu and kawa kawa.

They’re 100% organic, handmade, sustainably harvested and blessed with karakia.
Zero seed oils, only the best ingredients!

Kohe kohe - for women’s hormonal balance and wharetangata issues. Can be safely used anywhere and I mean anywhere e hine. Massage the womb and lower abdomen for menstrual pains and following birth. Not recommended during pregnancy.

Kawa kawa - dry skin irritations, eczema, bites, burns and nappy rash. Hydrating, reduces inflammation and aids skin cell repair. Is also a medicine for the heart and grief for those sensitive to the energetics of plants.

Tutu / tūpakahi - for bone, muscle, tendon, nerve and ligament. I use in Miri Miri massage sessions for specific problem areas. Great for relieving sore muscles, bruises, arthritis/gout. Improves blood flow while reducing inflammation. Is also said to be good for nerve pain, varicose veins and knitting the bones.

Small batch. While stocks last.
Available Sundays at Growers Green Markets, Fremantle.

$25 each.

Playing with my loop and reflecting on my life path..

Making mistakes no problem…rewriting my script.

Process oriented approach allows me to observe myself, my thoughts, actions responses in a non-judgemental way and enjoy all the flavours.
Allowing me to be in my Manawa (heart presence) and Ike (awareness).
In my bodywork sessions I’m not just focussed on an outcome but yes also that too, goals and outcomes are welcome but not expected.

Come for a session if it speaks to you and see what stirs for you. What elements are calling you to play, flow, fly, unearth and rekindle the flame of your inner truth?
