OUR HEALTHY CLARENCE: ‘Putting One Foot Forward’ for Mental Health 🖤

On the 18 October in recognition of Mental Health Month and this year’s theme ‘we all have a role to play’, local services united to support the Black Dog Institute ‘ One Foot Forward’ campaign.
It was an opportunity for staff to take some time out to connect and look after their own mental wellbeing. We enjoyed a beautiful walk and talk along the new Grafton river front pathway. Good mental health is vital to our overall health and wellbeing and this month Our Healthy Clarence are encouraging everyone to think about ways they can improve their own mental wellbeing. That could mean enjoying a walk, getting a bit more sleep, or spending some quality time connecting with family and friends.

OHC were down at Mitre 10 YAMBA today for a free BBQ and to start these conversations. Thank you to the 93 Yamba locals that popped in for a sausage (or two) and a chat. 😊

MENTAL HEALTH MONTH IS HERE 😊
Celebrated in October each year in NSW, Mental Health Month encourages us all to think about our mental health and wellbeing. It’s also a chance to promote activities and ideas that can have a positive impact on our daily lives and the lives of others. These events and messages are tied together with a specific theme, and this year it is 'We all have a role to play'.
Our Healthy Clarence has been out and about in Yamba talking with local folk about their tips on how they stay mentally healthy. 😊
Check out what other events are on in the Clarence Valley during Mental Health Month 2023 and pop down to one and say G'day.
