Winter Solstice Welcoming Event
From 5pm members of your Residents Committee will welcome you to your Winter Solstice Celebration in the Village Lounge.

The room smells of spices as your Committee Members are hard at work preparing copious amounts of mulled wine to keep you warm tonight.

📣Baldwin Living Resident Satisfaction, Lifestyle & Wellness Survey📣

There are only 4 more days for Residents to submit your individual Resident Satisfaction Survey to the Village Reception. We have a firm deadline of 5:00pm, Monday 23rd of June 2025 to be in the running to win Vaucluse Gardens the $1000 prize for most submitted forms.

Out of our potential 141 applicants, we have received 67, so we are still waiting on 53% of our Residents to submit their forms.

If you have any questions or concerns about the form, please reach out to our friendly Reception staff to assist you!

Vaucluse Gardens Winter Solstice Celebration!

Wednesday 18th of June - Join us in the Village Centre Activities room at 7pm for the the netflix documentary 'My Octopus Teacher.'

Friday 20th of June at 5pm - Burning of the Ogoh Ogoh
Join us in the Village Centre (exterior event also) for the main event starting at 5pm. Mulled wine and nibbles are being presented by the Resident Committee Members, whilst our guest Robert Jarman provides a dramatic reading. The climax of the evening is the burning of this years Ogoh Ogoh, which was crafted by Resident John H.

From today, leading up to Friday 5pm, Residents are encouraged to write their fears and wishes on a piece of paper, stuff this paper within the Long Spined Sea Urchin's mouth and watch your fears/wishes burn during the 6pm ceremony.

Sunday 22nd of June - Solstice Morning Tea & Poetry Readings
Join us in the Village Centre lounge for morning tea at 10:30am. A selected group of Residents will be reading poetry during the event.

We are pleased to announce that our second Family Guest Stay unit — FGS Unit 2 — is now open for bookings!

Located in the recently refurbished former staff overnight room, this unit has been thoughtfully updated to meet the comfort and convenience needs of our future guests.

About FGS Unit 2
This new unit is more compact than our original (now renamed FGS Unit 1), making it ideally suited for a single occupant or a couple comfortable with a smaller space.

Features & Inclusions – $90 per night (max stay: 7 days):
Access via exterior staircase only (11 steps)
Best suited for a single occupant or couple
Queen-size bed
Kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and crockery/cutlery
Newly refurbished bathroom with shower, basin, and toilet
Wall-mounted Smart TV
Access to Vaucluse Gardens Guest Wi-Fi

Please note:
Cleaning is conducted only after the end of each booking
Fresh linen is provided before each new booking
No cleaning services are offered during the stay

Can the Vaucluse Gardens Residents bet the other Baldwin Living Villages?

The competition is hot 🔥and so far our Residents have submitted 50 surveys from the 141 that are eligible.

Remember that every individual Resident can submit their responses, and we are aiming to have all 141 Residents return their forms prior to 5:00pm Monday 23rd of June.

The Village that submits the most responses will win a $1000 cash prize from Baldwin Living to go towards a a communal experience, and a random Resident will be drawn for a $100 gift voucher.

Happy Retirement Day, Sharon Parkinson!

Today, we celebrate the retirement of our valued Baldwin Living HomeServe care partner, Sharon Parkinson.

Sharon joined the HomeServe team in June 2021, and over the past four years, she has shown unwavering dedication in supporting our Residents and their families. Her compassionate guidance through the home care system has made a lasting difference in many lives.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sharon for her care, commitment, and kindness—and we wish her and her family all the very best as she embarks on her new, work-free chapter.

During the transition to welcoming our new care partner, Sophie Byrne, Baldwin Living HomeServe Manager, will be available to assist Residents with all home care package needs.

The Village Lounge was filled to the brim this morning for our Biggest Morning Tea event at 10:30am!

All proceeds from the morning tea, cake bake, and our first-ever scarf swap will be donated to the Cancer Council of Tasmania's Biggest Morning Tea annual fundraiser, alongside generous individual donations.

This event was a resounding success thanks to the incredible efforts of our Village Admin Lisa, the lovingly baked goods contributed by our Residents and Staff, and the outstanding support of our Residents' Committee. Special thanks to Committee member Sally, who introduced the fantastic scarf swap idea and treated us all to her delicious homemade scones.

👏 A huge round of applause to everyone who made today such a success! 👏
