I know it’s been around for a little while now but every time I see something about the ‘let them’ theory by Mel Robbins I can’t help but think about how similar this is to yogic philosophy.

🍃 In yoga surrender (Ishvara Pranidha) is about letting go of things we cannot control including other people’s behaviour.

🍃 Non-attachment (aparigraha) is about not attaching our own happiness to something else, whether that be a physical thing, a goal , a situation or even…other people’s behaviour. We don’t need to let other people’s behaviour impact our own internal contentment. Yes, I know, easier said than done. This is why we practice…

🍃 Svadhyaya (self-study). Taking the time to become aware of our thoughts, emotions and triggers so that we can regulate our emotions and deal with them behaviours of others in a calm and rational manner.

If fact, the more I listen to these personal development gurus, the more I realise many of them draw on the ancient wisdom of yoga.

Yoga is like an ancient personal development system designed to foster inner peace.

It’s so much more than asana…

What are your thoughts on the ‘let them’ theory? I would love to know. Comment below. 👇🏻

Feeling overwhelmed is not always a sign that you need to do more. Sometimes it is a sign that your mind is carrying too much. When we slow down, we can begin to notice the mental clutter that has been quietly draining us.

This is where yoga becomes more than movement. It becomes space to notice what matters, what no longer fits, and what you may be ready to change.

If this speaks to you, save this post for later and share it with someone who needs a little more space today.

Winter is almost upon us.
Life gets busy.
The weather gets cooler.
It gets darker earlier.

It’s so easy to come home from work, put on a warm blanket, and let your yoga practice quietly fade away.
When the weather is warmer, it’s much easier to feel motivated and roll out the mat or head to class.

So here is your gentle reminder:
remember why you came to yoga in the first place.
Perhaps yoga is the one time during the week that’s truly just for you – a space to reset, slow down, and reconnect.

Maybe it’s the one hour where you feel good in your body, where tension softens and your breath becomes a little longer.

Maybe yoga is what helps you sleep better, feel calmer, and regain some mental clarity and focus.

Because honestly…
are you okay slipping back into old patterns that don’t serve you?
Feeling stressed and anxious?
Continuing in autopilot, always on the go?
Carrying aches and pains that never really get better?
Winter is exactly the time you need your practice most.
It’s when your body and nervous system ask for warmth, movement, and connection.

You deserve a practice that supports you, not another thing to drop when life gets hard.

We have a mat and a blanket waiting for you in our warm, cozy studio.
