Independent Living Centre Tasmania ILCT gives advice about assistive technology and home modifications to help you live independently Most service enquiries are free. We may charge a fee.

Information Services:
We have information about hundreds of items of equipment including:

Scooters, wheelchairs and powered recliners
Things to help you do household tasks (e.g. cooking, washing and shopping)
Items to make bathing, dressing and personal care easier and safer
Specialised products for recreation and leisure
Communication devices
Smart home technology

Our health professionals can a

lso advise you about:

Changes to your home
Office seating and ergonomics
Adapting everyday items to assist with daily tasks
Changing the way you do things or
Using a service

ILCT Information Service is a statewide service. Talks and Equipment displays:
We present talks and equipment displays to groups anywhere in Tasmania. Website:

Our page has information about our services, visits and events and photos from events that have been held. Education:
We provide workshops or education sessions by request. Ask us about our regular sessions or a session to suit your needs. Technology Access service:
We help people with disabilities to use appropriate technology to:

- Use a computer,

- Communicate,

- Control electrical appliances, such as TVs, lights and telephones. This service is for people living in the North or Northwest of Tasmania. Ask us for more information. Interpreters:
Please tell us if you need an interpreter. We will make an appointment for you. How can I help?:
As a non-profit community organisation we welcome members and volunteers around Tasmania. Donations over $2 are tax deductible and will help us to keep providing this service.

Our Carers Expos are back!

Join us on 5 March, Tuesday at Punchbowl Christian Centre between 10 am to 2 pm.

This is a free open-to-the-public Carers Expo.

Here's what is happening at the Expo:

• Guest speaker sessions with Dementia Australia, Baptcare Services Australia and us

• Light refreshments and continuous tea/coffee
• Free parking and wheelchair-accessible venue
• Lucky door prize - 2 X Samsung Galaxy Watch 6

Join us on 13 March, Wednesday at Tasmanian Hockey Centre between 10 am to 2 pm.

This is a free open-to-the-public expo. Here is what is happening on the day-

• Trade tables - An opportunity for you to meet with various organisations and service providers
• Guest speaker sessions with NDIS expert panel, Services Australia, Advocacy Tasmania, Dementia Australia, Palliative Care Tasmania and more on topics ranging on NDIS and Aged Care
• Light refreshments and continuous tea and coffee (for catering purposes, please RSVP)
• Lucky door prize 2 x Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and free massages
• Free parking and wheelchair-accessible venue

This expo will provide you with an opportunity to connect with peak bodies, service providers and other carers, and to find out what supports are available for you.
