In this workshop we will explore yoga and meditation practices to cultivate stillness. Through stillness we experience presence and in presence we come to feel connection, with ourselves and with others. This is the type of connection that opens our hearts, soothes our nervous system and nourishes our soul. In a world of social media and anxious young minds, sharing the space and tools for our younger generation to experience this connection feels imperative.
We will play with gentle breathwork, moving meditations, nourishing Yin Yoga and the healing vibrations of sound. Perhaps more importantly, we will find spaces between the doing for just being, nurturing a loving sense of curiosity and self awareness.
We had such strong feedback from Mums wanting to come to our last workshop that we have decided to open this one up to Mums (or older sisters, Aunties, Grandmas etc) to join in if you like (its not a requirement though). The focus will still be on teaching this in an age appropriate way to teens/tweens but in reality we see benefit for all in these practices.
This session will be facilitated by experienced yoga and meditation teachers Kellie Kennett (Kundalini Yoga & Meditation teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, Sound Healer) and Louise Driscoll (Yin Yoga teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, Massage Therapist). We believe these practices, when shared in a safe and nurturing space, provide an opportunity for the younger generation to harness a deeper sense of confidence and resilience.
This is an introductory workshop all practices will be gentle and suitable for everyone. Props and mats will be provided, just wear comfy clothes and bring a water bottle.
