Cupping is a traditional technique used to support circulation, release tension, and assist the body’s natural recovery processes.

Whether you’re experiencing muscle tightness, feeling run down, or simply looking to support your overall wellbeing, cupping can be tailored to your individual needs.

At Rebalance, treatments are always personalised, working with your body to restore balance and ease.

This time of year everyone starts to get run down.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is a seasonal transition → lungs + immunity get hit, digestion weakens, and bugs sneak in.

The key?
Warm, easy-to-digest, nourishing foods
Think soups, stews, slow cooking, spices

This helps strengthen your immune system and supports your body through autumn → winter

Enjoy❤️

Struggling with sleep during pregnancy or after baby arrives? You’re not alone.
Insomnia is incredibly common during pregnancy — especially in the third trimester. In fact, studies suggest around 75% of women experience sleep difficulties in the later stages.
This can look like:

Difficulty falling asleep

Waking frequently through the night

Trouble getting back to sleep

And for many women, it doesn’t magically improve once baby arrives…
The first 6 weeks postpartum can be particularly challenging.
On average, new mums are getting around 6 hours of sleep per night — often broken sleep — which can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and depleted.

How we can support better sleep
At Rebalance, we look at sleep through a whole-body, whole-nervous-system approach.
Here are some simple, effective strategies to start with:

1. Sleep hygiene (your foundation)
Create a calm, consistent routine:

Go to bed at a similar time each night

Keep your room warm, dark, and quiet

Limit screens before bed

2. Understanding your sleep
When you understand why your sleep is disrupted (hormones, nervous system, baby’s rhythm), it becomes much easier to support it.

3. Resetting the sleep association
If sleep has become stressful, your body can start to resist it.
We gently retrain the body to feel safe and relaxed at bedtime again.

4. Gentle sleep structuring
Sometimes spending less time in bed (and improving sleep quality) can actually help restore deeper, more restorative rest.

5. Calming the nervous system
This is where the magic happens ✨

Slow breathing (in for 4, out for 8)

Acupuncture to regulate hormones + calm the mind

Gentle evening rituals to signal “it’s time to rest”

💜 You don’t have to just push through the exhaustion.
There is support available, and your body can find its way back to better sleep.

Need a little extra support?
We’re here to help you feel like yourself again.

Lots of bugs going around at the moment.
A good cup of Ginger tea is a perfect way to warm up your body, boost your immune system, and improve your circulation!

Ginger Tea:
1. Thinly slice your fresh ginger. You don’t need to peel it first; rinse it and scrub off any visible dirt. Plan on about using about a one-inch piece of ginger per cup of tea.

2. In a saucepan, combine the ginger with fresh water (use one cup of water per serving).
Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.

3.Reduce the heat as necessary to maintain a gentle simmer.

4. Simmer for five minutes (or up to 10 minutes, if you want extra-strong tea). I usually think it’s pungent enough at five minutes.

5. Pour the tea through a fine sieve to catch all of the ginger. If desired, serve your tea with a thin round of lemon or orange for some complementary acidity

You can drink this tea at any time - a great time is mid morning and mod afternoon.

Enjoy!

Love Dr Julia xx

As we pause on Remembrance Day, our thoughts turn to war's enormous cost and the toll it takes, not only on those who fall but on all who serve.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.❤️

Your body gives signals before bigger issues arise.

Poor sleep, bloating, mood changes, irregular cycles, and low energy are often early signs that something is out of balance — not isolated problems.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we look at these patterns as interconnected messages from the body, helping us understand what support is needed to restore harmony.

When we start listening earlier, we can support the body more gently and effectively. 🌿
