With International Women’s Day on Saturday being overshadowed in Western Australia by the State election, I want to take a moment to celebrate some of the brilliant, inspiring, caring and hardworking women I have the privilege of interacting with in the course of operating Doctors’ Choice.

💙 World Su***de Prevention Day 💙
Today is a global observance uniting over 60 countries to reduce stigma, advocate for policy change, encourage help-seeking, and honour those impacted by su***de.
This year’s theme, "We all have a role to play," echoes the call to "Start the Conversation" to change the narrative on su***de. In Australia alone, nearly 10 million people have been touched by su***de; almost half our nation. I’ve been impacted by dear friends’ su***des and this, together with doctors having higher than average incidences of mental illness and su***de, is why Doctors' Choice chose Lifeline as our primary charity.
Lifeline does tremendous work in local communities as well as providing a broader commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of Australians. It provides excellent 24/7 crisis support and su***de prevention services and a host of other services for those who are at risk and in need of expert help.
