🌟WARNING...long post ahead🌟

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to personally thank all of my beautiful clients — past, present, and future — for trusting me with yourselves, and for trusting yourself enough to take that huge (and sometimes scary) step into therapy.

To take a seat in my chair, across from you or beside you, is both an honour and a privilege. This past year I have witnessed so much growth, so many light-bulb moments, and have shared tears, laughter, hugs, and real emotion as I held space for you.

As 2025 ends and 2026 begins, please don’t put pressure on yourselves to be more, do more, or have everything mapped out with goals and resolutions. Instead, start with you — and all the glimmers you saw, heard, and experienced in 2025. Sometimes a simple scroll through your camera roll can remind you of just how far you’ve come.

Place a hand on your heart to remind yourself that you are safe with yourself — and that all is well (even when it doesn’t feel like it). Remember the power of a 20-second heart hug, and gently check in when that “mean” inner voice starts getting loud.

Please be proud of yourself for that call you made, the message or email you sent that then led to you stepping through my door.

I’m not one for rigid goals or resolutions. What I do instead is choose a word or phrase to carry through the year — something that supports me to do what I need and want to do. Some of my most powerful have been “keep it simple” and “ease.”

I also want to extend my gratitude to those of you who have been so understanding when I’ve needed to reschedule appointments and needed to take extended leave as I support my husband through his health challenges. All going well, I’ll be back practising in February 2026.

I won’t say Happy New Year… instead, I’ll say have a year — however that may look. Remember to look for the glimmers and take those all important baby steps that will ultimately lead to the big ones.
Much love,
Tania ❤️🙏❤️

It is important to remember that not everyone is looking forward to Christmas

Some people are not surrounded by happy families - Some have problems during the holidays and are overcome with great sadness when they remember the loved ones who are not with them. For many it is their first Christmas without a loved one.

Many people have no one to spend these times with and are besieged by loneliness or lack of finances.

Please spare a thought for the people in need of kindness, care and support right now and remind them that somebody cares. ❤

It’s okay if this season doesn’t feel happy or magical. 🫂

If all you can do right now is get through the day, that’s still enough. You don’t have to feel joyful all the time.

Showing up and surviving is already something to be proud of.

I barely slept last night.
Shock. Horror. Numbness.

What happened at Bondi has shaken me to my core. Like so many Australians, I’m sitting with feelings I don’t yet know how to process. We believed we were safe. Last night shattered that belief.

If you’re feeling unsettled, hyper-alert, tearful or numb — this is a normal nervous-system response to trauma. Fight, flight or freeze are human reactions. Every response is valid. Every response is survival.

Right now, what we can do is slow ourselves down.

🌿 5-4-3-2-1 grounding
Name 5 things you see, 4 you can touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, 1 you taste.

🌿 Belly breathing
Inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 6. Repeat.

Please reach out for support if you need it. Talk to someone you trust. Trauma is real, even when we weren’t there.

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me, with you, with us 🙏

That’s where we start — with compassion, care, and refusing to let fear divide us.

HOLISTIC THERAPY SERVICES

Starting therapy is often a lot easier than the anticipation of starting therapy. Why is it that when we really need it, we hesitate to reach out for help? Finding the right therapist really means finding someone with whom you feel safe, connected and where trust is born and healing begins.

I am a Holistic Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Life Coach, having studied at the Metavision Institute in Bowral and worked in private practice for over 10 years. My role is to provide a safe, non-judgemental, confidential and nurturing space that supports healing and restores balance back into every day life. In my counselling sessions I embrace a holistic approach which helps to facilitate personal healing, growth, life direction and purpose. My holistic philosophy and practice is based on having a deep respect for my clients as whole people, rather than a cluster of symptoms or problems. I come with an understanding that each individual is a member of a wider family, social and political context which profoundly influences their life. I hold great reverence for every individual as the expert in their own life, who will be empowered by discovering the answers to (their own) questions and problems in their lives from deep within. Most importantly I acknowledge that it is the basic right of every human being to be loved and acknowledged and feel good about themselves.

I believe deeply in living an authentic life and how I do anything is how I do everything. I believe in love and that it is the true healer. To nourish is to flourish.

My door to my therapy room is open to everybody that knocks.
