✨ Support at Home ✨

The government is replacing Home Care Packages with the new Support at Home Program – designed to make services easier, fairer, and more flexible.

Here’s what that means:
✅ Grandfathered clients – If you were approved for a aHome Care Package before 12 September 2024, nothing changes! You’ll keep your services just as they are.
✅ Transition clients – If you were approved a package after the 12 September 2024 , you’ll move into Support at Home when it’s rolled out.

At Pearl Home Care South Yarra, we’ll guide you through every step with direct access to our Director of Nursing, making sure your care continues smoothly 💙

We are so lucky to have such a beautiful and caring team behind us, and love to celebrate each and every one of them!

Recognising all our support staff's hard work and dedication, they create safe and positive environments for our ageing and NDIS participants to thrive and continue achieving their goals.

In 2024, two of our support workers were recognised for their excellent efforts, Tayah was awarded the dedication award, and Yang the Support Worker of the Year award 🏆 Well Done!

The transition from the Home Care Package Program to Support at Home has created a number of questions for our older Australians, and their family and friends. The common questions we have been asked is:
📌 'What is Support at Home?'
📌 'What does that mean for me?'
📌 'If I am already recieving support through a home care package, will the new changes impact the current services I recieve, or may need in the future?'

We know for our older communities that calling for an ambulance can be a distressing time - whether it be due to feeling like a burden, that their issue isn't important enough, or simply the fear of what will happen.

Thank you to all our Paramedics across our state, country and the world who support not only those in medical emergencies but also our older communities who need a gentle helping hand from our paramedics.

We appreciate the warmth, love, support and gentle touch you have towards the elderly in our lives, making them feel safe and encouraging them to reach out for help when they need it.
