Do you have a wiggly worm or two stuck in ISO? Yoga Nidra helps kids calm down, manage pressure, reduce anxiety, and regulate emotions. Create a moment shared and special. Build a sanctuary with your child, a place set aside for quiet and calm. Allow them to pick out their favorite blanket, pillow or essential oil that will help them relax.
If there is a lot of energy buzzing about, before you begin, try a few minutes of something fun like; jumping around like a kangaroo, or slithering on the floor like a snake, jumping jacks, Karate 'ha' or a few yoga postures - depending on age.

Running time is under 10 minutes, I invite you to choose butterflies or dandelions. Butterflies includes a simulated temper tantrum, to shake out excess emotions held in the body, followed imagined butterfly kisses. Dandelion breath, visualizing bubbles head to toe, and an exercise in listening.
And remember we all have the child within, whom could also be reminded of grace, and of love; us big kids can experience a short Yoga Nidra and still soak up all the benefits.
