If you experience a braces emergency during the holidays, here are ways to remedy the situation until we reopen, so long as you're not in too much pain!

If a bracket or wire comes loose, here’s what to do:
1. Apply orthodontic wax to any poking wires or brackets to stop irritation.
2. Carefully trim loose wires using a clean pair of nail clippers.
3. Avoid hard/sticky foods until we reopen.
4. Email the clinic to let us know what has happened so we can make an appointment for you ASAP.
5. If the bracket breakage is causing pain and irritation, contact your general dentist or the Royal Dental Hospital.

We are closing on Tuesday 23 December at 1:30pm and open again at 8:15am on Monday 5 January.

If you have to contact us urgently, our Berwick clinic will be available over the phone on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th December from 9am-12pm. Phone (03) 9212 0217.

For painful emergencies please contact your general dentist or the Royal Melbourne Dental Hospital on (03) 9341 1000.

If you need to change an upcoming appointment or book for January, please send us an email and we will reply as soon as we can.

South Yarra Orthodontics will be closed throughout the holiday season.

🖤 Last day: Tuesday 23 December until 1:30pm
🖤 Reopening: Monday 5 January at 8:15am
