✨ Introducing toy of the month: Race to the Treasure: The Ogre Board Game ✨

At Blended Therapy Services, we LOVE using games that build skills while keeping learning fun and engaging, and this month’s favourite is Race to the Treasure! 💰

This cooperative board game encourages children to work together to beat the Ogre to the treasure 🏆

Instead of competing against each other, children are encouraged to problem-solve, plan, and communicate as a team - basically everything you want in a therapy tool! 💬🧠

✨ Building Skills: Doll House Edition ✨

Reasons why we love pretend play using the classic doll house ⬇️

🏠 Following instructions (e.g., “Put the baby in the cot, then close the door.”)
🛁 Practising household routines like bedtime, mealtimes and getting ready for school

🚨 Blended Therapy Group is Back for 2026! 🚨

We have a small number of places available to join our first group program of the year!

Families love our group program because it supports children to:
🌟 Access targeted small-group therapy delivered by qualified therapists
🌟 Build positive peer relationships and social confidence
🌟 Practice following routines and group expectations
🌟 Engage in sensory play to support regulation and attention
🌟 Develop self-care skills, including toileting and mealtime independence

Running during school terms from 9am–12pm, this small-group program provides a safe and fun environment where children can connect, grow, and thrive through guided play, creative experiences, and therapeutic support.

Your child will be supported by a team of therapists and allied health assistants, while you enjoy a well-deserved break ☕️

Our last toy of the month may not be fancy or complex, in fact it’s something most people have at home already, big or small!

A simple toy with endless options for building important skills.
Here’s why we love them!👇

🧠 Problem-Solving Skills
Figuring out how to balance towers, make ramps, or building castles - crucial for trial and error, thinking outside of the box and planning!
Think “hmm… the big block keeps falling. What happens if we put it at the bottom instead?”

💪 Gross Motor Development
Lifting, pushing, climbing, and crawling over blocks strengthens core stability, balance, and coordination.

🗣️ Language & Communication
Blocks are perfect for expanding vocabulary and encouraging back-and-forth interaction.

🤝 Social Skills
