Tell me, are you guilty of the evening fridge raid?
I used to always crave carbs/sugars in the evenings. But after listening to my body more, I realised that it was down to being tired. So, instead of jumping head first into the fridge, I now jump into bed with my book and let my body get the rest it needs.
Late night snacking can negate the benefits of your daytime efforts by disrupting sleep, increasing calorie intake, and impacting weight management.
The body's metabolism slows down at night, making it less efficient at processing calories, and consuming high-calorie snacks are likely to lead to weight gain. It can interfere with sleep, hindering recovery, and potentially impacting daytime energy levels, too!
