Taking a break 🙏🏻

Thanks everyone for the ongoing support with both ‘Be the Sherpa’ and ‘The Mindful Community’. You are what keeps our communities going 🙌🏻 I’ll be taking some time off to focus on my studies, however I still want you all connected! We’ll be back early next year and look forward to what great things are to come. Enjoy the rest of 2018! 😌🙏🏻

Keep trekkin,

Nick.

On top of Whistler summit with my good mate Shannon. I’ve shared some great memories in the outdoors with Shannon, whether it be from skateboarding at a young age or shredding in the mountains. Over the last couple of years he’s also been a great mentor to me in progressing my counselling and social work skills. If you are experiencing difficult times at the moment and feel the need to speak with someone, Shannon’s your guide. I can’t recommend him enough, where he’d be both attentive and understanding to your needs. Shannon has a free anxiety guide on his website for you to get started at www.createbalance.com.au. Thanks Shannon for the ongoing inspiration!
Have a great weekend everyone 🙏🏻☺️

It’s great to get outdoors with friends, however it’s also important to get into nature yourself sometimes to recharge and reflect on your thoughts in silence. This will welcome clarity of what may previously have seemed unclear. 🙏🏻👁 📷🇦🇺Wilson’s Promontory.

I remember my first day snowboarding and how scared I was..but the more I began to progress, the more it engaged me with other people who would push me and encourage me to do better. If I hadn’t pushed myself into the outdoors that first day and throw caution in the wind, I wouldn’t have got to experience the great adventures in nature which I continue to do today. Keep trekking. 🙌🏻🏂🏔

The town of Nelson is where my inspiration for ‘Be The Sherpa’ first began. I saw something special in both the towns strong sense of community and the unmatched beauty of the mountains. There was a true connection there, which seemed too precious to be ignored. Nelson taught me to connect more with both nature and each other... this one’s for you Nelson. 🙏🏻💙🏔

The Grampians 🙌🏻⛰
Had been a crazy week leading up to the Grampians trip, where it was great to get away with friends and just relax! If you’re feeling the pinch at work or in other areas of your life, organise a trip to recharge. You’ll get back the energy you need for both your body and mind. 💪🏻🙏🏻🔥

Hi everyone, hope you're all having an awesome day! I've just created a closed group named The MINDFUL Community. This group is an extension of the 'Be the Sherpa' community and provides actionable tools to reduce stress/anxiety and improve your overall mindset. The group will also include professional guests who are experts in areas which encompass mental health and other related disciplines. As it's a closed group, I will invite you all to join so keep an eye out for my invitation. Please feel free to invite others to join as well! I would love for you all to be apart of The MINDFUL Community.

Keep trekk'n,
Nick.

P.S - Apologies If you have received multiple posts/invites of this...Facebook is not agreeing with me today!

I recently took a trip back to my childhood holiday spot while passing through Bright..a little town in country Victoria. I had to get a photo in front of the slide in the background, for it brought back so many great memories from 20 odd years ago. It reminded me to never forget that childlike adventure which lies in all of us and to take it everywhere I go. Where’s your favourite holiday memories? 🌲⛺️🚐

Our vision...

Be the Sherpa encourages you to get into the outdoors to connect with nature and eachother. By sharing your adventures with each other and how it assisted your mental health, we can all get talking about the issue and help break the stigma.

Whether you have a mental health issue or not, our vision is for people to get, feel and be connected in this great world of ours. By sending through your poems, stories &/or photographs of your adventures, you can help bridge the disconnection gap.

In pursuing our vision of connectedness, our aim is to break the stigma surrounding mental health so it can be recognised and accepted as an important issue in the mainstream.

Feel free to join our expedition via our website at www.bethesherpa.org.
