Queensland introduces new ADHD reforms today December 1st and they mark a genuine shift in access. From this date, GPs in Queensland are able to diagnose ADHD and prescribe stimulant medication for adults. It improves access and cuts down long waits, but it does not turn ADHD care into a quick appointment with instant answers.

No one will be diagnosed in a single consultation and no one will walk out with a prescription on the spot. ADHD is a clinical condition that requires history, questionnaires, and more than one appointment to reach a safe and accurate diagnosis.

At our clinic, only the doctors who choose to offer ADHD care will do so, and every assessment will follow a structured and evidence based process. Treatment also takes time. Medication is introduced slowly, reviewed carefully, and adjusted across several visits.

The reforms expand access, not shortcuts. The standard of care remains steady, thorough and patient centred.

Total Body Photography (TBP) is now available with Dr Megan Kelly.

This is a powerful tool for the early detection of skin cancer particularly in high-risk patients. Dr Megan Kelly takes clinical photos of the patients entire skin surface. These detailed photos are then stored creating a point of reference for future examinations.
