📢 Due to the approaching cyclone, Southport Medical & Dental Centre ( General Practice) will be closed from 06/03/2025 at 1:00pm and will reopen on 10/03/2025 at 07:00am, subject to safety conditions.

An alternative to attending an emergency department may be to connect online to the Virtual Emergency Care Service which is open 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.

The Virtual Emergency Care Service has specialist clinicians available to treat a range of emergency conditions virtually. Operating hours will be extended to 24 hours from 8am Thursday 6 March until 10pm Tuesday 11 March 2025. https://qvh-virtual-emergency-care-service.health.qld.gov.au/

Dr. Michael Langley (Osteopath) brings a unique blend of experience and compassion to his osteopathic consultations.
Michael's journey to become an Osteopath began as an army medic where he witnessed the devastating impact of injuries firsthand. He honed his skills in trauma care and emergency medicine through studies in paramedicine and nursing, and developed a deep understanding of the human body's resilience and the importance of patient-centred care.

Michael has also participated in humanitarian aid work and in supporting refugees. This instilled in him a unique blend of experience and compassion. These experiences combined with seeking care and management for his own injuries has led Michael to discover Osteopathy.

Adopting a universal approach to health care resonated deeply with his desire to treat the whole person, and not just the symptoms. Michael completed his Osteopathic studies, earning a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Master of Osteopathic Medicine.
