That’s why we made a big change: allowing trained community pharmacists to provide you with immediate advice and treatment for an uncomplicated UTI.

It means you don’t have to suffer painful symptoms while waiting for a GP appointment.

And by treating the common condition early, you're much less likely to experience further complications – taking pressure off hospitals and emergency departments.

If you’ve not heard of antivirals before - they are a key ingredient to how we are fighting the wave of COVID-19.

Anti-virals are oral medicines available for people at high risk of developing severe illness as a result of infection.

This includes people aged 70 and over; and people aged 50 and over who have two other risk factors for severe disease.

I’ve spoken before about how our seniors are the most vulnerable to this wave of COVID-19.
