Failure to Conceive 🤍

When trying to conceive isn’t working, it can feel emotionally exhausting and deeply defeating, especially after repeated disappointments or loss.

It’s very common to feel unsure where to start or what the next step should be.

This is why having a clear, supportive plan matters and why working with a team can make such a difference. A team that supports you not only physically, but emotionally, and helps guide you through each stage with clarity and care.

Fertility support is more than medication alone.
Dietary changes, lifestyle adjustments, balanced exercise, proper rest, work–life balance, and surrounding yourself with positivity all play a vital role when preparing your body for fertility treatment.

While fertility specialists prescribe medications, it’s the body’s internal environment (mental, physical, and emotional) that determines how well it can respond.

Sometimes, taking a step back to nourish, restore, and rebalance the body before treatment begins can create a stronger foundation for stimulation, conception, and sustaining a pregnancy.

There are many investigations and medical options available, but an exhausted, depleted body cannot perform at its best without nourishment and support.

✨ Fertility care is about restoring capacity, not pushing harder.

Self-care through every stage of womanhood 🧘

Self-care isn’t just about slowing down,
it’s about feeling supported through the seasons your body moves through.

At the clinic we support women across the full fertility journey:
• Trying to conceive naturally
• Fertility support alongside Letrozole
• IUI & IVF cycles
• Pregnancy
• Postpartum recovery

These phases can be physically demanding and emotionally heavy.

Self-care during this time means creating space for your nervous system to settle, your body to feel supported, and your journey to feel a little less overwhelming.

Acupuncture offers a gentle, grounding form of care
supporting circulation, hormone balance, stress regulation, sleep and overall wellbeing.

and pain is one of the most common reasons women reach out for support.

🤰🏼We commonly support pain such as:

• Lower back pain

• P***c symphysis (SPD) discomfort
• Neck & shoulder tension
• Headaches & migraines
• Rib & upper back pain as baby grows

🌙 Absent Periods in Chinese Medicine

In Chinese medicine, your period is like a monthly report card on your health. When periods go missing, it often shows that the body’s energy has been drained, not just by internal imbalances, but by the way we live.

✨ Too much stress tightens the flow of Qi.
✨ Sugar, rushed meals, or poor diet weaken the Spleen.
✨ Overwork, late nights, and pushing the body too hard deplete the Kidneys.

Acupuncture and herbal medicine can gently restore balance, but lifestyle is just as important. Rest, nourishment, and emotional balance are all powerful steps to bringing your cycle back into harmony.

Your body is always responding to how you live and your cycle reflects that story.

🌱Preparing Your Body for the Journey

You don’t have to be struggling to conceive to try acupuncture.

In fact, some of the most powerful results come from preparing your body months before you start trying.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we focus on:
✨ Nourishing your Blood & Qi
✨ Regulating cycles & hormones
✨ Reducing stress and calming the nervous system
✨ Supporting digestion & nutrient absorption
✨ Balancing Yin & Yang for optimal fertility

Think of it as fertility foundations, building a healthy environment so conception can happen more smoothly when the time is right.

💖 Whether you’re planning for pregnancy soon or just want your reproductive health at its best, acupuncture can be a gentle, supportive step.

🌿 Chinese Medicine View on nurturing the body. This is particularly important during your preconception stage and during pregnancy.

1. Diet
• In TCM, food is considered medicine.
• Warm, cooked foods support the Spleen and Stomach, which transform food into Qi and Blood.
• Seasonal eating helps harmonise with nature, e.g., cooling foods in summer, warming foods in winter.
• Avoid excessive raw, cold, or greasy foods which can weaken digestion.

2. Sleep
• Sleep replenishes Yin and Blood, calming the Shen (mind/spirit).
• The Liver restores Blood during sleep, particularly between 11 pm–3 am.
• Poor sleep disrupts Heart and Kidney balance, leading to fatigue and emotional instability.

3. Exercise
• Gentle, regular movement moves Qi and Blood without exhausting Yin.
• Over-exercising can deplete Essence (Jing) and weaken Kidney energy.
• Movement should match your constitution and season - lighter in summer, gentler in winter.

4. Rest
• Rest in TCM means both physical and mental stillness, allowing Yin to nourish Yang.
• Short pauses in the day prevent Qi stagnation and overuse of the Heart and Spleen.
• True rest restores Jing (Essence) and supports longevity.

5. Mindset
• Emotional balance is key for smooth Qi flow — worry harms the Spleen, anger the Liver, fear the Kidneys, grief the Lungs, and overjoy the Heart.
• Practices like meditation, breathwork, and acupuncture help calm the Shen and regulate emotions.
• Cultivating gratitude and presence aligns the Heart and Mind.

Let’s Talk Fertility! ➰🙋🏽‍♀️

Lately, I’ve been having more and more conversations about fertility and how it’s not just one thing, but a whole mix of things that can help us feel more in sync with our bodies. 🌿

Things like acupuncture, a more nourishing diet, gentle lifestyle shifts, and the right supplements can really support that sense of balance. Not in a “quick fix” way, but in a slow, grounding, getting-to-know-your-body kind of way.

It’s less about doing everything perfectly and more about tuning in, getting support, and creating space for your body to feel safe and supported. 💛

You’re not alone in this. And no step is too small 🪻
