Procedure: Bilateral breast reduction by Dr Sparks

This patient was experiencing back and neck pain for most of her life due to her excess breast tissue (macromastia). Despite losing 12% body weight on Wigovy, she was still experiencing significant neck pain and sub-mammary skin rashes.

Dr Sparks performed a bilateral breast reduction where he removed 1.6kg of breast tissue. The procedure not only relieved her symptoms but created symmetry in the size and shape of her breasts to better fit her body shape and goals.

Procedure length: 2hrs
Hospital stay: Day surgery without drains.
Photos are preoperative and 3 months postoperative.

It may be used to target:
• Uneven skin tone and texture
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Pigmentation and redness
• Sun-related skin changes
• Visible veins and spots

Benefits of this advanced technology include:
• Precision – energy is delivered in a safe and controlled way

Breast Augmentation- teardrop (anatomical) breast implants with fat grafting

This patient has tall height, full projection teardrop, 380cc breast implants in a custom medial dual plane position. Dr Cronin also performed autologous fat grafting and an internal bra fixation for medial cleavage.

In breast implant sizing, the 'cc' stands for cubic centimeters and refers to the volume of the implant.

A 'tall height' teardrop implant refers to the vertical dimension of the implant. It means the base of the implant is taller than it is wide and is designed to be longer vertically and narrower across the chest. They are excellent at creating upper pole projection and tall cleavage planes.

Photos are taken 6weeks after surgery. Over the next 3-6months, the breasts will continue to soften and settle in position.

To book a consultation with Dr Cronin, you will require a referral from your GP.

A circumferential lipectomy also known as a body lift, will take between 4-6hours depending on the complexity of the surgery and if any other procedures have been added. After the procedure, you will typically stay in hospital for between 5-6nights depending on the extent of the surgery and the patient's overall health.

Patient's will be placed in a post-operative garment which is to be worn for at least 6weeks.

When can I return to exercising?
Most patients can return to their normal daily activities, including work, after about 4-6 weeks. However, it’s important to note that more strenuous activities, such as heavy lifting or vigorous exercise, should still be avoided for a longer period, as advised by your surgeon.

When can I drive?
Patients are typically advised to avoid driving for at least 2 to 3 weeks after surgery. This period allows for initial healing and reduces the risk of complications.

How long until I will see the final results?
It can take several months for the swelling to fully subside, and the final results of the procedure to become apparent. During this time, you should continue to follow your surgeon’s post-operative instructions and attend any scheduled follow-up appointments.

To book a consultation with Dr Cronin, you will require a referral from your GP.
