This patient presented with breast asymmetry, with the right breast slightly larger and lower in position than the left.

Following consultation and clinical assessment, a staged surgical approach was recommended to improve symmetry and allow for more predictable implant selection.

The first procedure involved a right breast reduction to better match the size and position of the left breast.

After a period of healing, she returned for a second procedure involving bilateral breast augmentation, along with minor scar revision and adjustment of the right inframammary fold. The patient decided to go with 375cc-sized implants.

In cases of breast asymmetry, staged procedures may be recommended to allow the tissues to settle before further surgery.

The most appropriate treatment approach depends on individual anatomy, tissue characteristics and goals, and can only be determined following a thorough consultation and clinical examination.

This patient presented with concerns regarding excess abdominal skin following significant weight loss.

On assessment, findings included abdominal skin laxity, mild separation of the abdominal muscles and localised adiposity.

Following consultation and clinical assessment, an abdominoplasty was performed to remove excess skin and address abdominal wall laxity.

This patient has undergone several staged body contouring procedures, performed separately, which will be shared across upcoming posts.

These before and after images show her outcome following surgery as part of her overall surgical journey.

Abdominoplasty is not a substitute for weight loss and is most appropriate when a patient is at a stable weight. The most appropriate treatment approach depends on individual anatomy, tissue quality and goals, and can only be determined following a thorough consultation and clinical examination.

This patient presented with concerns regarding breast volume and position.

On assessment, breast ptosis (drooping) was noted. Following consultation and discussion of treatment options, a combined breast augmentation and mastopexy was performed.

Surgery involved placement of Motiva round silicone implants (360cc) in a subpectoral position via an inframammary fold incision, together with a lift technique to reposition breast tissue and the nipple-areolar area.

Combined augmentation and mastopexy procedures are tailored to the individual. Implant selection and surgical approach depend on anatomy, tissue characteristics and patient goals, and can only be determined following a thorough consultation and clinical examination.

This patient presented for a secondary breast procedure following previous breast surgery and recent implant removal performed elsewhere, with concerns regarding breast volume and overall shape.

Following consultation and clinical assessment, a surgical plan was developed based on her current anatomy, tissue characteristics and treatment goals.

She underwent a bilateral breast augmentation using anatomical implants (330cc) placed in a subpectoral position via her existing inframammary fold incision.

A small volume of fat transfer to the lower pole of the breast was also performed using the patient’s own tissue, harvested from the medial thigh and carefully prepared prior to placement.

Secondary breast procedures require careful planning and are tailored to the individual. Outcomes depend on factors including prior surgical history, tissue quality and healing response. A thorough consultation and clinical examination are essential to determine the most appropriate treatment approach.

This patient presented with concerns regarding excess skin of the upper eyelids.

Following consultation and clinical assessment, a bilateral upper blepharoplasty was performed to remove excess skin and address eyelid heaviness.

Upper eyelid surgery is tailored to the individual. The most appropriate treatment approach depends on anatomy, skin quality and patient goals, and can only be determined following a thorough consultation and clinical examination.

This patient presented with concerns regarding localised fat deposits in the inner thigh and medial knee areas.

Following consultation and assessment, liposuction was performed to address these areas using a controlled technique to contour the region.

Liposuction is not a substitute for weight loss and is most suitable for patients with localised areas of fat. Outcomes vary depending on factors including anatomy, skin quality and healing response. A thorough consultation and clinical examination are essential to determine the most appropriate treatment approach.

I enjoyed a quick trip to Bangkok last week for the launch of Motiva Preserve.

Good conversations, new ideas, and the opportunity to spend time with colleagues like Dr Charles Randquist — always a highlight.

Interesting to see how implant technology continues to evolve. Coming soon to Australia… watch this space.

20/03/2026

This patient presented with concerns regarding implant position, breast discomfort and changes in breast shape over time. Imaging had been performed prior to consultation.

Following assessment and discussion of options, she elected to undergo implant removal (capsulectomy) combined with a bilateral mastopexy (breast lift).

The procedure involved removal of the implants and surrounding capsule tissue, followed by reshaping of the breast tissue using a lift technique to address skin laxity and reposition the breast.

In cases where implants are removed, changes in breast volume and upper pole fullness can occur. Further procedures may be considered at a later stage depending on individual preferences and anatomy.

Implant removal and mastopexy procedures are tailored to the individual. Outcomes depend on factors including existing breast tissue, skin quality and healing response. A thorough consultation and clinical examination are essential to determine the most appropriate treatment approach.

This patient presented with concerns regarding excess abdominal skin following significant weight loss.

On assessment, she was found to have abdominal skin laxity, with mild abdominal wall separation and localised adiposity.

Following consultation and discussion of treatment options, including a lower body lift, an extended abdominoplasty was performed to address excess skin and improve abdominal contour.

An extended abdominoplasty differs from a standard abdominoplasty in that the incision extends further toward the hips, allowing treatment of excess skin across a wider area of the lower abdomen and flanks.

Abdominoplasty is not a substitute for weight loss and is most appropriate when a patient is at a stable weight. The most appropriate surgical approach depends on individual anatomy, tissue quality and treatment goals, and can only be determined following a thorough consultation and clinical examination.
