What’s this you might ask? Well today, in order to get in before the rush of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, I went and had my Contrast Enhanced Mammogram. I had big plans of taking lots of photos and documenting my experience, but it was so quick and easy that I didn’t get time and completely forgot. I was too busy chatting to my wonderful radiographer who not only put my cannula in, but took my 3D mammogram, and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. I even managed to get an extra spot view for my trouble, and it was all over before I knew it! Thankfully, there was no signs of anything nasty and I was out of there in 20 minutes. If you have dense or complex breasts, or you are at higher risk of breast cancer due to your personal or family history, please consider asking your GP or Breast specialist if this test is suitable for you. And if you’re looking for more details, there is an information sheet on my website. Please see the link in my bio. It’s nearly the end of the year ladies, don’t forget to tick that little self-care box and get your health screening done.
