Acupuncture Point Dynamics was a 40 year project designed to compare acupuncture point indications from ten diverse contemporary acupuncture texts from various parts of China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, France and USA. It was very similar to the style of a Delphi study which seeks to find consensus among a panel of experts. This process demonstrated not only which specific indications for particular points enjoyed broad consensus but actually generated a ranked order similar to levels of confidence in research analysis. In addition indications were linked to modern statements of point functions or actions, which is precisely the level of clinical nuance needed to be able to apply broad generalisations such "This point clears Damp-Heat" accurately. After this process was completed with Volumes 1 and 2, it was followed up with Volume 3 where the historical literature is explored and compared to modern indications and point functions. This includes substantial previously unpublished translations such as the Ming Dynasty Odes and Songs. To browse or purchase these books (hard cover or pdf) go to the Blurb Books website:
