🌈🎶 Neurodiversity Celebration Week at Tweedle Music 🎶🌈

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible strengths, perspectives and creativity of our neurodivergent community. At Tweedle Music, we see every day how music can be a powerful, joyful and regulating space for neurodivergent children, teens and adults.

Music offers so many benefits for neurodivergent people including:
✨ Sensory regulation - rhythm, vibration and predictable musical patterns can help calm, organise and support the nervous system
✨ Communication support - music provides alternative ways to express needs, emotions and ideas
✨ Emotional expression - songs and instruments create safe pathways to explore feelings
✨ Connection and belonging - shared music‑making builds community without relying on spoken language
✨ Confidence and identity - celebrating strengths, interests and creativity through music
✨ Motor and coordination development - movement, beat and instrument play support motor planning
✨ Joy and engagement - music is motivating, meaningful and fun.

Our programs, from early childhood groups to Singchronous (our all‑ages, all‑abilities choir), are designed to honour neurodivergent communication, sensory needs and ways of engaging.

We’re proud to create musical spaces where everyone is welcomed, supported and celebrated exactly as they are. Here’s to a week (and a lifetime) of embracing neurodiversity through the power of music. 💛🎵

🎶 Important Update: Miami Festival of Fun Postponed 🎶

We have an update to share with our Singchronous community.

The Miami Festival of Fun, where our all‑ages, all‑abilities choir was set to give their very first public performance, has unfortunately been postponed due to circumstances beyond our control.

While we’re disappointed, our excitement hasn’t gone anywhere - our choir has been working so hard, and we can’t wait for the moment they finally get to shine on stage.

As soon as the festival organisers confirm the new date, we’ll share it with you straight away.

Thank you to our participants, families, support workers and everyone cheering on Singchronous. Your enthusiasm means the world, and we’re so proud of this incredible group.

Stay tuned - their debut performance is still coming, and it’s going to be worth the wait. 💛🎤

🎶 Music, connection and confidence at Robina Hospital 🎶
Each week, our Registered Music Therapist, Alex, runs a music therapy group at Robina Hospital for adolescents navigating mental health challenges and preparing for a return to school.

Together, the group has been:
🎧 Sharing our favourite music and exploring why it resonates
📝 Discussing lyrics and the meaning behind the words
🎸 Learning to play the ukulele
🥁 Building rhythm and teamwork on the djembe
🎤 Writing an original song as a group.

Every activity is designed to support social engagement, attention span, emotional expression and self‑confidence - all through a medium that feels fun, safe and motivating.
