Today we’re celebrating OG Eliza, our Clinical Lead and Registered Music Therapist, who has been a driving force behind so many of QPAH’s most loved initiatives! 💙

From Spectrum Connections to our Singchronous all-abilities choir, Play & Connect, and our musically inspired school holiday groups and Therapy Club, Eliza’s creativity, leadership and passion have helped shape QPAH into the vibrant, inclusive community it is today.

QPAH is proud to support Jeans for Genes Australia ! We're inviting all our amazing staff, clients and their families to wear denim to their appointments on J4G Day next Thursday.
For every denim item worn in our clinics, QPAH will donate $5 to Jeans for Genes, to help fund vital research into childhood genetic diseases. Yes, that means jeans, jackets, skirts - even Canadian tuxedos (double denim) are welcome! ✨

🎶 Last week, QPAH Director and Principal Registered Music Therapist, Monica Zidar joined fellow Australian Music Therapy Association leaders in an important meeting with the office of Senator Jenny McAllister, Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
We’re pleased to share that the minister's team reaffirmed their commitment to transparent, collaborative policy-making - a stance that aligns deeply with our values. We welcome their willingness to work with AMTA on solutions that protect participant choice, a cornerstone of our advocacy.
🙏 Huge thanks to Senator McAllister, Chief of Staff Reuben Mayo-Ray and Deputy Chief of Staff & Director of Policy Laura Haylen for the constructive and forward-focused discussion. We look forward to continuing this momentum together.

The Australian Music Therapy Association has launched the very first edition of the newsletter - created for everyone who’s curious about the power of music therapy.
2025 is a milestone for the organisation, as it’s their 50th anniversary.
Music therapy is gaining recognition across Australia as an evidence-based allied health profession, and our community of registered music therapists is growing stronger than ever.
From hospitals and aged care homes, to schools, rehab clinics and research centres, music therapy is making a real difference in people’s lives every day. 💙
