🌹ANZAC Day
Today we pause to honour the courage, service and sacrifice of the ANZACs and all who have served. We’re grateful for the strength, resilience and community spirit they’ve helped shape across Australia and New Zealand.

lest we forget.

Our Varsity Lakes clinic is closed today for the ANZAC Day public holiday.
Our Southport clinic is not open on Saturdays.

We look forward to welcoming our QPAH families back on Monday.

There was a real buzz at this week… and for good reason.
We kicked off our music therapy program for healthy ageing with 18 incredible residents - and what a way to start!

With buckets, drumsticks and a room full of energy, the group explored movement to music, rhythm and group singing - creating music together from the very first session.

This program is all about:
🌟Trying something new
🌟Meeting new people
🌟Supporting cognitive and emotional wellbeing
🌟Keeping the body moving through rhythm and coordinated movement.

And the impact?
Connection. Laughter. Energy. Confidence.

We were all buzzing by the end of the session - and that’s exactly what music can do.
A huge thank you to the philanthropic support that made this program possible. Opportunities like this matter - they create space for people to stay active, connected and engaged at every stage of life.

📹 Here’s a glimpse of the group in action - bucket drumming, moving and making music together.

"Music education should ideally start nine months before the birth of the mother."

"Attending a parent and baby music class is great for both the musical input and the social connections and will be much more fun if you join in as well."

There is a huge variety of musical material you can engage with together, so there will definitely be songs to suit everyone.

🎶 What a night!
Our FREE Singchronous all abilities choir gathering last night was a beautiful way to close World Music Therapy Week. The room was full of voices, AAC, Auslan, movement and connection as our community came together to celebrate the power of music therapy.
Thank you to every singer, supporter and family who joined us. Your energy made the night feel joyful and deeply meaningful.
World Music Therapy Week reminds us why we do what we do: music brings people together, supports communication & regulation and creates moments of belonging for all ages and all abilities. Last night was the perfect example of this.
We’re already excited for next week’s session. Everyone is welcome to join Singchronous on Tuesdays from 4.30pm to 6pm at our Southport clinic. Visit www.qpah.com.au to RSVP.
