Our surgeons are experts in ACL reconstruction and shoulder stabilization procedures. CoastOrthopaedics also provides a comprehensive programme in the treatment of arthritis. We provide non-operative treatment options including PRP injections and are trained in the latest techniques in cartilage surgery and joint replacement, using the latest technology including the Stryker MAKO Robot.

As always, the protection of our patients and staff is our highest priority.

In line with State Government advice, unfortunately we will not be accepting visitors at our hospital until further notice. Visitors will not be able to attend our site unless they are:

• the parents, guardians or carers for a patient under the age of 18
• providing end-of-life support
• a partner and /or support person/s for a patient admitted for care related to their pregnancy

Compassionate circumstances will be considered on request and will require approval of the Director of Nursing.

We apologise for the inconvenience and hardship this may cause, but appreciate your understanding of the need to keep patients as safe as possible during these challenging times.

Gold Coast Private’s ‘Hospital in the Home’ (HITH) service, the only one of its kind in Queensland, has now helped more than 3,000 patients avoid or shorten their hospital stay by providing acute care in their homes.

HITH nurse manager Craig Hulsman says the service supports people to continue to lead life as normally possible and cause minimal disruptions while providing a high level of care.

‘We visit people in a whole range of settings, including those who are holidaying at their accommodation, elderly in aged-care facilities and people in the workplace,” he says.

“The majority of patients using the service require assistance with wound care or have a mild to severe infection such as osteomyelitis, cellulitis or lung infection."
