Formerly Home Instead Australia, Dovida provides high-quality, person-centred home care to the Gold Coast community. Dovida creates a Circle of Care that places individuals at the centre of a holistic support system, uniting families, our skilled caregivers, our support teams, and the wider healthcare community. We provide a range of services including everyday companionship, domestic assistance,

persona, care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transport to appointments, shopping and social outings. Care is available up to 24hrs a day and ranges from light housekeeping to dementia care and palliative care.

🌺 ANZAC Day - Lest We Forget 🌺

Today, we pause to remember and honour the service, courage and sacrifice of all Australian and New Zealand service men and women past and present.

We invite our community to participate in ANZAC Day in whatever way feels meaningful to you, whether that is attending a dawn service, laying a wreath, sharing a moment of reflection or simply having a quiet pause at home.

Together, we remember their sacrifice and keep the ANZAC spirit of courage, mateship and resilience alive.

While Carol has a special place in her heart for people on their palliative journey and people living with Parkinsons, she also guides people through My Aged Care (MAC), has a wealth of knowledge about Support at Home (SAH) and spends a lot of her time engaging with like-minded people throughout our vast community.

Living Well with Parkinson's 🌷

Parkinson's can affect people of all ages and is a chronic and progressive disease, as symptoms will increase over time. Progression looks different for everyone and while there is no cure for Parkinson's, with the right support many people maintain a good quality of life.

Staying socially connected and physically active can greatly improve wellbeing of those living with Parkinson's disease.

Our Team are passionate about raising awareness and creating safe spaces and places for people who live with Parkinson's to relax amongst friends.

You'll find us at the Parkinson's Support Groups on the Gold Coast each month - come along and chat with Carol and David ⬇️

Our passionate aged care advocate David recently met with Cameron Caldwell MP who has a keen interest around all things aged care and is actively supporting several initiatives around the Gold Coast.

The meeting focused on frustrations regarding the shortage of providers able to support individuals with funding under the Commonwealth Home Support Program. We are grateful for Cameron’s continued interest in this important issue and his commitment to exploring opportunities to better support our ageing community.

(on a side note .... our David's middle name is Caldwell - there could be a connection there? It's a small world - you never know who you could be related to!)

We love creating opportunities for our clients to connect with each other through our social programs, all thoughtfully curated by our Activities Coordinator, Grace 🔆

Our activities are designed to foster connection, encourage interaction, and help combat loneliness head‑on. And the feedback has been incredible! We’ve even heard that some clients now catch up independently after meeting during one of our organised activities — which absolutely warms our hearts. 🥰

Building community is at the core of what we do, and seeing these friendships grow is truly special.
