Meet Max 👋

Max is a consultant neonatologist and accomplished clinician-scientist, bringing internationally recognised expertise in newborn care to Nest. After completing her specialist paediatric training, she undertook advanced training in neonatology and has built a career in New Zealand spanning both the bedside and the laboratory, with world-leading research into how prematurity and early nutrition shape lifelong health.

Max is relocating to the Gold Coast to join our team, with extensive experience caring for premature and critically unwell newborns across intensive care and clinic settings. She is known for her thoughtful, kind and evidence-based approach – taking the time to communicate clearly and work in partnership with families, so they feel informed and supported during what can be an uncertain time 👩‍⚕️

Nest Notes is freely available on our website for all families – whether you’re already seeing us or simply looking for expert newborn guidance. You don’t need to be a patient to access it, and we encourage GPs and health professionals to share it with families who may benefit 📖

Alyssa is a paediatric registered nurse with a background in intensive care, offering families calm, capable support throughout the early months of parenthood. Her experience caring for critically unwell infants in high-acuity settings gives her a rare depth of clinical insight – combined with empathy, clear communication, and a genuine understanding of what families need as they adjust to life with a newborn.

At Nest, Alyssa blends her clinical expertise with warmth and organisation, helping families feel supported, informed and never alone during one of life’s most meaningful transitions 👩‍⚕

Meet Anand 👋

Anand is the Gold Coast’s first private neonatologist, offering families a uniquely specialised yet highly personal level of newborn care. After completing his paediatric training, he undertook three years of advanced training in neonatal intensive care and has cared for babies as small as 300g and as early as 22 weeks.

At Nest, Anand provides the same level of expertise to all babies – whether they are well or needing extra support – giving families the reassurance that if anything unexpected arises, their baby is already in the safest hands. His calm, gentle approach ensures parents feel informed, confident, and genuinely cared for from pregnancy through the first months at home 👨‍⚕️

Nest is led by Anand and Alyssa Ramineni – a neonatologist and paediatric nurse with extensive experience caring for families with newborns, both in hospital and at home. We have also cared for a few babies of our own: our three wonderful children Isabelle, Oliver and Charlie.

Every part of our approach is shaped by the care we would want for our own children, and the support we know makes all the difference in the early days as new parents 🌱
