Meet Jane 👋

Jane is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) - the highest level of clinical nursing practice in newborn care - bringing years of specialist experience in neonatal medicine to Nest. Having trained at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, she has cared for thousands of infants and their families across intensive care, special care and postnatal settings, and continues to work with premature and critically unwell newborns.

Jane’s role bridges nursing and medical care, allowing her to provide advanced clinical assessment and continuity for babies across both hospital and follow-up settings. She is known for her calm, compassionate approach - taking the time to listen, explain things clearly, and work in partnership with families so they feel informed and supported during what can be an overwhelming time 👩‍⚕️

We’ve thought carefully about what it feels like to get out the door with a newborn - so our suites have been designed with that in mind. Easy pram access, a calm and welcoming space, and an environment that feels warm rather than clinical.

Meet Max 👋

Max is a consultant neonatologist and accomplished clinician-scientist, bringing internationally recognised expertise in newborn care to Nest. After completing her specialist paediatric training, she undertook advanced training in neonatology and has built a career in New Zealand spanning both the bedside and the laboratory, with world-leading research into how prematurity and early nutrition shape lifelong health.

Max is relocating to the Gold Coast to join our team, with extensive experience caring for premature and critically unwell newborns across intensive care and clinic settings. She is known for her thoughtful, kind and evidence-based approach – taking the time to communicate clearly and work in partnership with families, so they feel informed and supported during what can be an uncertain time 👩‍⚕️

Nest Notes is our trusted library of newborn care guides – written by our team to help you feel informed and confident. It’s designed to complement our care with clear, practical advice on newborn topics like feeding, sleep, reflux, development, and what to expect at each stage.

Nest Notes is freely available on our website for all families – whether you’re already seeing us or simply looking for expert newborn guidance. You don’t need to be a patient to access it, and we encourage GPs and health professionals to share it with families who may benefit 📖

We are mindful of the cost of private care, which is why we set our fees thoughtfully and transparently – keeping them comparable to standard paediatric clinics despite our advanced specialisation. All fees are listed openly on our website, along with clear guidance to help you understand Medicare rebates, safety nets and private health cover.

We also support you through the process so you’re not left navigating Medicare queues or confusing paperwork during an already busy time of life. Many of our services come at no additional cost, including bulk-billed antenatal consults and complimentary 3-week phone reviews – because expert newborn care should be exceptional and accessible ✔️

Alyssa is a paediatric registered nurse with a background in intensive care, offering families calm, capable support throughout the early months of parenthood. Her experience caring for critically unwell infants in high-acuity settings gives her a rare depth of clinical insight – combined with empathy, clear communication, and a genuine understanding of what families need as they adjust to life with a newborn.

At Nest, Alyssa blends her clinical expertise with warmth and organisation, helping families feel supported, informed and never alone during one of life’s most meaningful transitions 👩‍⚕

Meet Anand 👋

Anand is the Gold Coast’s first private neonatologist, offering families a uniquely specialised yet highly personal level of newborn care. After completing his paediatric training, he undertook three years of advanced training in neonatal intensive care and has cared for babies as small as 300g and as early as 22 weeks.

At Nest, Anand provides the same level of expertise to all babies – whether they are well or needing extra support – giving families the reassurance that if anything unexpected arises, their baby is already in the safest hands. His calm, gentle approach ensures parents feel informed, confident, and genuinely cared for from pregnancy through the first months at home 👨‍⚕️
