We need touch to thrive and it helps us to regulate our nervous system and emotions. As a social species it is at the heart of our being to connect via touch.
In todays environment touch has been pushed in the background and alienated.
We need to remember what we are and what we are capable of.

“Verena is a fantastic practitioner! Apart from walking out after the appointment feeling 200% better than when I walked in, she also explains clearly what has happened.
Craniosacral therapy was new to me but I am a convert!”

Thank you for that lovely review on Google!

When a child is born so is a mother!

A saying that is so very true and a fact many women struggle with especially with the absence of the village.
The struggle can be eased if women can connect with their instincts and intuition and if baby is supported and ‘listened’ to.

One way to help the process is through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy which helps women before and after birth with the changes that happen to body and mind. And it helps babies through the ‘fourth trimester’ and resolve the often stressful birthing process.

Do you know a future mother or a new mother and her bubs who you think are in need of being seen and experience some gentle but profound self care?

Appointments are available in clinic or as home visits.

The effects of the birthing process on babies can show in their ability to breastfeed.

As an IBCLC, I have seen my fair share of babies who are fussy at the breast or those who refuse to latch at all. I try to help babies to latch, without using my hands, to empower the mother, or to…

Why have I chosen the name "Touch is life" as a name for my BCST practice?
Because it can be taken literally. As humans we benefit from, in fact we need to connect with others via physical connections.
Touch helps us to communicate, soothe, make us feel safe, build relationships and much more.
Several studies have shown that emotional and physical health benefits come from touch.
However, we are currently suffering from being deprived of touch and the benefits that come with it. That is due to recent events with Covid-19 but also due to the fact that our society promotes anonymous lifestyles with very little real life interactions if not seeked out consciously (eg.social media). Covid-19 has accelerated this development further by avoiding social contact even more, working from home and in general keeping to one self. Even within the family we have become more weary about touch so we do not put loved ones at risk.
On the flip side this is an alarming trend that leads to more mental health issues such as anxiety and depression but also has some real physical effects on our bodies with e.g. chronic and inflammatory conditions increasing.

To touch is to give life.
