Cardia Counselling Cardia Counselling offers professional support to individuals with a variety of needs. No referral is necessary to access services at Cardia Counselling.

We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others by providing evidence-based strategies and skills to cope with the challenges of life. Tina Myrteza is the Founder and Director of Cardia Counselling with over 30 years’ experience in education. She holds a Diploma of Teaching (NZ), Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies, and a Master of Educational Studies – Guidance, Counselling and Careers from the University of Queensland. The etymology of the word ‘Cardia’ originates from the Greek word for ‘heart’ which reflects how we regard the therapeutic process. Our mission is to offer our clients, unconditional positive regard as we listen with empathy and empower our clients with long term strategies and solutions to cope with their challenges. In addition to in room consultations we also offer ‘Walk and Talks’ at Observatory Park on Wickham Terrace, as well as online consultations if you are unable to come into the practice. At the initial consultation, therapists will discuss the counselling needs of the client and a no obligation treatment plan will be arranged.
