🌿 Welcoming Our New Psychologist – Marcela Costanzo 🌿

We’re excited to welcome Marcela Costanzo, Clinical Psychologist, to Lilian Cooper Women’s Health Centre! Marcela will be available for appointments every Thursday from 31st July.

Marcela works with adults (18+) experiencing:
✨ Depression
✨ Anxiety
✨ Trauma
✨ Life transitions
✨ Adjustment difficulties
✨ Grief and loss

Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and EMDR, Marcela tailors therapy to each client’s unique story, goals and needs. Her compassionate, client-centred approach creates a safe and supportive space for healing and growth — even in the face of life’s challenges.

Marcela is passionate about supporting people to live their best possible lives, and she would love to be part of your healthcare team.

Introducing Dr Lindsey Jones, our Skin Doctor. She performs routine skin checks, skin cancer biopsies and excisions as well as providing management of acne, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema.

Dr Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Masters of Public Health from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Lindsey started her journey into medicine in a unique manner, first with a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology, Minor in Advertising) from the University of Southern California, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honours. Dr Lindsey then dabbled in a few health related careers (Assistant in Nursing, Allied Health Assistant, Lifeline Crisis Counsellor) before completing her medical degree.

After graduation, Dr Lindsey completed her junior doctor years on the Sunshine Coast, rotating between Nambour Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, and Noosa Private Hospital. In 2019, Dr Lindsey completed her Emergency Medicine Certificate from the Australian College of Emergency Medicine with a yearlong placement in The Prince Charles Hospital, covering both Paediatric & Adult emergencies. She then took this specialised knowledge and skills to work in rural Emergency Departments across Queensland & NSW for over 1 year.

More recently, Dr Lindsey has decided to enter community health and General Practice, completing her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Lindsey has since gone on to complete sub-specialty training in Paediatrics (with a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney), Dermatology (with a Certificate of Primary Care Dermatology from RACGP), Cosmetic Medicine (with a completion of the Basic Anatomy and Cosmetic Injecting Course by the Australian Skin Skills Education & Training), and Mental Health (with completion of the RACGP Rural Focused Psychological Strategies Training Package)

Dr Lindsay Jones will be consulting at the Lilian Cooper Centre on Wednesday afternoons.
