📆September is a month dedicated to raising awareness about PCOS (Polycystic O***y Syndrome), a hormonal imbalance condition that affects 1 in 10 women worldwide.

This condition has reproductive, metabolic, and emotional effects. PCOS is complex, and unfortunately, the exact cause remains unclear. Although there is no cure yet, ongoing research is continually uncovering promising ways to treat and manage this condition. As with many gynaecological issues, early diagnosis and intervention can significantly improve the journey of those affected.

This is why raising awareness (especially this month) is crucial. At Eve Health we know that PCOS impacts various aspects of health, and we are dedicating this month to highlight several important topics:

🌿PCOS and fertility
🌿Symptoms and treatments of PCOS (across two blogs)
🌿The effect of PCOS on mental health

Today, we delve into the theme of pain and finding your power through the pain.

Pain can uniquely affect women and those assigned female at birth (AFAB).
Despite the progress we've made in addressing gender pay gaps and discrimination, significant challenges surrounding health and pain disparities still remain.

These challenges may include:
⌛ Delayed diagnoses and misdiagnoses
🤕 Inequitable pain management
🏥 Worsened health outcomes

Ensuring access to optimal care and treatment is essential in order to turn your pain into your own power 💜.

Check out our information page and watch a video featuring our team as they explore the complexities of pain that can affect women.

🔴👃Happy Red Nose Day!

Also known as the day ‘to get silly for a serious cause’, but do we truly understand the significance behind the cause?

🔴Red Nose Day was established to raise awareness for SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) research.

🔴Thanks to Red Nose Day initiatives, a safe sleep program has been established, offering resources to parents, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to reduce the risks of infant sleep-related deaths, potentially saving more than 12,000 young lives.

So, get a bit silly today (like our team has) for a serious cause and together we can help stop little lives being cut short.
