This is one of my go-to recipes!

Whether you are a couple of days postpartum or 6 months postpartum, your body deserves nourishment & trying to boost your milk supply can be tough.

During my own breastfeeding journey (which hasn’t been the easiest), I’ve found focusing on nutrient dense, energy supportive foods makes a big difference.

These cookies are rich in ingredients traditionally used to support lactation, while also helping to meet the increased caloric and mineral demands of postpartum.

While they aren’t a quick fix for supply challenges but they are a beautiful way to help nourish you while you are nourishing your bubba 🤎

Some of you may have seen I am expecting my second Bub early August & I realise the time is creeping up very quickly so here is a little update on my clinic & bookings.

☼ This is my last month consulting but may have a couple of available slots early next month so please send me a message if you are wanting to book in before I go on leave.

☼ During my maternity leave if you are a current client, I will still fulfil any repeat prescriptions & will still be contactable via email & socials but in August I will be mainly offline soaking in the new addition to our family ☺️

Can’t believe in a couple of months I will have a newborn again 🥹 this pregnancy has flown by & is so different to when I was pregnant with Sadie. My body is telling me to slow down (as much as I can with a toddler haha) & start to nest & prepare for birth & the fourth trimester.

I’d love to know if there’s anything you wish you had done prior to having your second Bub, because I have not prepared anything yet & time is getting away from me 😅😂

Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies I see in clinic. Focusing on increasing your intake of Iron rich foods can help to improve levels.

Ideally the recommended intake of Iron per day is:
〰️Men over 19 years - 8mg
〰️Women between 19 and 50 years - 18mg
〰️Women over 51 years- 8mg
〰️Pregnant women - 27mg
〰️Women who are exclusively breastfeeding - 10mg
〰️ Infants (7-12months) - 11mg
〰️ Children (varies dependant on age & gender) between 9mg-15mg)
(*this may vary depending on your individual needs, as during periods of growth, exercise, menstrual periods etc you may require more)
