Term 1 is here

For some children, today is filled with excitement, new pencils, fresh books, and big smiles.
For others, it comes with butterflies, worries, and the quiet weight of expectations.

Both are valid. Both deserve space.

Starting a new school year can feel like standing at the edge of something new, there are new teachers, new routines, new friendships, and new challenges. That’s a lot for little nervous systems to hold.

So this new school year, we honour all the feelings.
We celebrate bravery in every form, whether that’s running through the gates or taking a deep breath before walking in.

There is no rush to be perfect.
There is no demand to “have it all together.”
Just courage, curiosity, and support, one day at a time.

Here’s to a term of growth, compassion, and meeting each child exactly where they are. 💛

Our space is filled with creativity, laughter, and a whole lot of responsibility as our therapy dog, Charly takes her role very seriously 🐾💼⛑️🩹

Through imaginative play, children get to explore emotions, build confidence, practise problem-solving, and step into roles where they feel empowered and capable.

Our therapy dogs have been dressed up as pumpkins and ready to greet clients with extra smiles and tail wags this Halloween week! 🧡

There’s nothing quite like being welcomed by a friendly face in a festive costume, reminding us that therapy can be warm, playful, and full of connection. 🌟

We hope their pumpkin spirit brings a little extra joy and comfort to everyone visiting the clinic!

This week in play therapy, the most loved resource was our foam building bricks! 🏗️🧡

Children explored themes of resilience, creativity, problem solving, and emotional safety — all in the softest, most playful way. 🌟

It’s incredible how something as simple as foam bricks can help children process big feelings and practise new coping skills. 💭👐

🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ Therapy as your child’s superhero training ground! 🌟

In therapy, children often get to step into the role of a superhero; discovering their own strengths, building resilience, and learning powerful tools to manage big feelings and life’s tricky moments.

Through playful exploration, creative activities, and safe conversations, they learn that even superheroes need help sometimes
and that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. ❤️

Every session is a chance to add new “superpowers” like courage, kindness, flexibility, and self-belief to their toolbelt. 🛡️✨

Because at the end of the day, the greatest superpower a child can have is knowing and believing in themselves! 🌈💪

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

Charly has officially passed the initial stage of becoming a therapy dog and will now be “in training” 🐾💛

Charly is already showing such promise in supporting emotional regulation, connection, and calm. We’re so excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the smiles and soothing moments she’s already bringing.
