Today we’re celebrating a wonderful achievement within our team. Alex has officially completed their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Their dedication, curiosity, and passion for supporting children’s learning has shone through every step of the way. From today, all families eligible for CCS who may not have met the activity hours test previously are automatically entitled to 72 hours per fortnight with First Nation's children receiving 100 hours.

“Research shows that three days of early learning each week in the years before school are the minimum necessary for children to develop the skills necessary to thrive at school. Under the previous rules, children whose parents ‘failed’ the activity test could only access early learning one day a week.
Children’s access to learning and better life outcomes should not be restricted by the circumstances of their parents. Every child deserves the opportunity for success. The Three Day Guarantee was a key recommendation of the Productivity Commission’s 2024 inquiry into early learning". Jeff Harvie, Goodstart Early Learning Deputy CEO.

During this experience, our little artists came together for a vibrant group painting session exploring textures, colours, and teamwork!

Using pinecones, brushes, and stamps, they created a shared masterpiece filled with imagination and joy.

• Prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals
• Support allergy, dietary and cultural requirements

• A love for cooking and working with children
• Reliability, creativity & strong organisation skills
• Warm, positive energy
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
• Current QLD Working with Children Check
• Experience in cooking for children with dietary & cultural requirements
• Ideally, a cook with early learning qualifications. Early Childhood qualifications can give the right candidate additional hours to work a 38 hour week.

From January 2026, all Australian families eligible for CCS will be guaranteed at least 3 days a week (72 hours per fortnight) of subsidised early childhood education and care.

This landmark change — the 3 Day Guarantee — replaces the Child Care Subsidy Activity Test and means:
✅ Eligible families can save thousands each year
✅ Every child can access vital early learning opportunities
✅ Certainty for families who are working, studying, or looking for work
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families receive 100 hours per fortnight (up to 5 days a week)
