Do you love cooking wholesome meals and making a positive impact on children’s wellbeing every day? Our childcare centre is looking for a passionate, organised, and creative Centre Cook to join our team!

✨ What you’ll do:
• Prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals
• Support allergy, dietary and cultural requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, well-organised kitchen
• Be a valued part of a warm, supportive team
• Help shape healthy eating habits for life!

✨ What we’re looking for:
• A love for cooking and working with children
• Reliability, creativity & strong organisation skills
• Warm, positive energy
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
• Current QLD Working with Children Check
• Experience in cooking for children with dietary & cultural requirements
• Ideally, a cook with early learning qualifications. Early Childhood qualifications can give the right candidate additional hours to work a 38 hour week.

From January 2026, all Australian families eligible for CCS will be guaranteed at least 3 days a week (72 hours per fortnight) of subsidised early childhood education and care.

This landmark change — the 3 Day Guarantee — replaces the Child Care Subsidy Activity Test and means:
✅ Eligible families can save thousands each year
✅ Every child can access vital early learning opportunities
✅ Certainty for families who are working, studying, or looking for work
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families receive 100 hours per fortnight (up to 5 days a week)
