🌟 Engaged, curious and collaborative! 🌟
Our little learners explore imaginative play through ashared cooking experience — selecting, sorting and serving “meals” with care and cooperation. 🍽️🌈

This type of play builds not only social and communication skills, but also supports a strong sense of belonging and confidence — beautifully aligning with the EYLF Learning Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity and Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.

We love seeing their creativity and teamwork shine! 💛

🚧 Digging into big learning at Goodstart Springfield Lakes! 💪🛠️
This little learner is hard at work in the sandpit, using the digger to build, explore, and imagine — all while developing important physical and cognitive skills.

Hands-on play like this supports EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners, as it encourages active learning, problem-solving, and perseverance. It also reflects NQS Quality Area 3 – Physical Environment, where thoughtfully planned spaces inspire curiosity, creativity, and exploration.

Every scoop is a step toward building strong foundations for lifelong learning! 🌱

🎉 Huge congratulations to Miss Baylee for officially completing her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care! 🌟

We are so proud of her dedication, passion, and commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for our children. This incredible milestone reflects her growth as an educator and her ongoing contribution to high-quality early childhood education 💛

Baylee’s achievement directly supports National Quality Standard 7 – Governance and Leadership, by building a professional learning community and strengthening our team’s capacity to provide the best outcomes for children.

Let’s all give Miss Baylee a big cheer! 👏💐

In settings involving children, CPR certification is not just a credential—it’s a critical skill that protects lives, ensures legal compliance, and fosters a safe and responsible environment. This week, some of our team refreshed our knowledge in CPR, ensuring we are as prepared as we can be in case of a medical emergency. We update our CPR knowledge every year and our full first aid every 3 years. Thanks Synergy for your thorough knowledge in ensuring we are emergency prepared.

This week we proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week with a variety of rich learning experiences that honoured and explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and achievements. 🌿🎨🖤❤️💛
From storytelling and art, to music and bush tucker play.
The children engaged deeply, showing curiosity, respect and connection.
Through these experiences, we continue to build cultural awareness and a strong sense of belonging for all.

On Tuesday our current and future kindergarten families were invited to attend our Kindergarten Information session.

During this time we discussed the wonderful benefits of attending Kindergarten with us and how we support children to be ‘school ready’.

We were also lucky enough to be joined by Spring Mountain State School who gave our families reassurance that the way we structure our programs and the focuses we prioritise are in line with what schools expect to ensure children are excited and ready for a lifetime love of learning.

Thank you to our families and Spring Mountain astate School for joining us.

What an incredible turnout! 🎉
Last week, we partnered with .com.au to host a toilet training education event — and wow, what a success! 🚽

So many wonderful families joined us to learn, share, and support each other through this important milestone. Moments like these reflect the heart of NQS Area 6 — building strong, collaborative partnerships with our community. 💛

🌿 Recently our Kindy 2 children had a special visit from Bunnings Springfield to kick-start our Bush Tucker Edible Garden! 🌱

We explored the importance of pollinators, learned how to care for Country, and connected with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives on sustainable living. 🐝🍓🌾

A big thank you to Bunnings for helping us grow curious minds and green thumbs! 💚

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums!
On Friday, we hosted our Mother’s Day Morning Stay and Play, welcoming mums, grandmothers, and the important women in our children’s lives for a special morning of shared play, learning, and pampering. It was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate and strengthen the connections between families and our centre community.

This event supports National Quality Standard 6 – Collaborative partnerships with families and communities, highlighting the importance of respectful relationships and active family involvement in children’s learning and wellbeing.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the morning so special!

“Work in progress – just like little minds growing big ideas! Through construction play, children explore creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. This hands-on learning reflects the EYLF principles of belonging, being, and becoming, and upholds every child’s right to play, learn, and be heard (UNCRC, Article 31 & 12). When children play, they build more than just towers – they build skills for life.”
