Today is the International Day of the Midwife, and we want to take a moment to thank every midwife we work alongside.

Midwives walk with families through some of the biggest moments of their lives. They listen. They advocate. They translate medical language when it gets too much. They notice the things no one else catches.

To the midwives across south east Queensland who refer patients to us, who ring through with questions, who care for families before, during and well after birth, thank you.

April is Adenomyosis Awareness Month. Adenomyosis is a common yet often under-recognised condition affecting the uterus, and for many, symptoms can go unexplained for years.

Heavy periods, ongoing pelvic pain, and discomfort aren’t something to ignore or “push through.”

With the right clinical assessment and imaging, adenomyosis can be better understood and managed - helping support clearer pathways forward for patients.

If symptoms feel persistent or worsening, it may be worth seeking further evaluation.
