An alternative to attending an emergency department may be to connect online to the Virtual Emergency Care Service which is open 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.

The Virtual Emergency Care Service has specialist clinicians available to treat a range of emergency conditions virtually. Operating hours will be extended to 24 hours from 8am Thursday 6 March until 10pm Tuesday 11 March 2025. https://qvh-virtual-emergency-care-service.health.qld.gov.au/

Dr Rashida Perveen is a multi-linguistic General Practitioner, keen to provide the finest care to her patients.Having obtained her degree in 1998 in Pakistan, Dr Perveen began her work in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She moved to the UK in 2011, where she met the needs of a wide variety of patients on her General Practice training rotations. She proudly practiced as a GP in the UK before relocating to Australia. She has a special interest in Women’s Health, stemming from her background of supporting women across the globe and being an advocate for gender and racial equality in healthcare. Dr Samantha Taylor gained her medical degree at the University of Bristol in the UK. She has been a GP for nearly 20 years and has a wealth of experience. Dr Sam is an expert in Chronic Disease Management and Women's Health, including fitting and removing contraceptive implants and coils. For many years she was a trainer for medical students and GPs and worked as Clinical Lead improving Quality and Performance in many areas of General Practice.
