Our model is simple but powerful.

Change STARTS with a Conversation

A national Registered Charity with a mission is to create safe, non-judgemental, and inclusive communities for people to connect, walk, and talk. Walk it Off Australia is a registered national, not-for-profit charity dedicated to improving mental well-being and strengthening community connection, one step at a time. We know that in a world of digital disconnection, the simple, face-to-face act of walking and talking can be life-changing. We empower passionate, local volunteers to host free, weekly peer-support walks in their communities. From our first walk in the Blue Mountains, we have grown to 16+ communities across Australia. These walks are a safe, non-judgemental, and inclusive space for everyone. There are no fees, no bookings, and no expectations. Just show up for a walk and a conversation. Our Commitment to IMPACT

We are more than just a walking group; we are a dedicated support network. We are committed to providing real, tangible IMPACT in our communities. A core part of this mission is our goal to have 80+ of our volunteer Walk Leaders professionally trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). We are proud to partner with national organisations like Lifeline Australia to bridge the gap between vital peer support and professional crisis services. Get Involved

It’s incredible to see all of our Men’s and Women’s walks providing a consistent anchor for their local community.

This same spirit of connection is happening across all of our locations. Whether you are in Sydney, the Central Coast, or the Blue Mountains, Walk It Off provides a safe, non-judgmental space to offload the pressure of the week.

We don't take breaks, and we don't wait for "the right time" to check in. We show up every week because mental health is a priority every single day.

Two weeks into 2026 - How are you actually doing?

The holiday decorations are down, the "New Year" novelty has worn off, and for many, the stress of the daily grind has officially returned.

This is exactly why Walk It Off doesn't stop. Resilience isn't built in a single day; it’s built through the consistency of showing up, week after week, for yourself and your mates.

This week, our 17 communities across Sydney and the Central Coast are walking. No matter what kind of start you've had to the year, there is a safe, non-judgmental space waiting for you tonight to clear your head and find your anchor.

Special Note for Springwood: Don't forget the new meeting spot! The team is meeting at Eden Blue Mountains Cafe on Raymond Road from 5:30 pm tonight.

Happy New Year’s Eve from all of us at Walk It Off Australia.

As 2025 comes to a close, we are incredibly proud of the 17 communities that have grown across the country. While many services close down for the holidays, we believe that New Year's Eve can be one of the most important times to check in, reflect, and find a stable anchor.

We are NOT taking a break. Our walks are happening this week.

If the pressure of the "New Year, New Me" hype feels a bit much, or if you just want to start 2026 with a clear head, find your local group tonight. We provide the consistency you need to navigate the transition into the new year.

Note for Springwood: Our Springwood group is moving to a new home starting tonight! They’ll be meeting at Eden Blue Mountains Cafe on Raymond Road. Check your local page for any specific NYE updates.

Let’s finish the year strong and start the next one together.

As the year winds down, social media lights up, and the pressure to be 'happy' increases, many people find themselves feeling more isolated and alone than ever. The "Lone Wolf" mentality, trying to process struggles in solitude, is a trap that feels amplified during the holidays.

This is exactly why Walk It Off is there every single week.

We provide a non-judgmental community that actively combats loneliness. It's free, it's consistent, and it works. True resilience is knowing you don't have to carry the weight alone.

Every one of our 17 communities is walking this week. If you're feeling the pressure or the loneliness, please come and connect.

Things don’t always go the way we hope they will. We put in the work, we show up, and sometimes the result just isn't what we wanted it to be. It leaves a heavy feeling, that weight in the chest where you wonder what the next step is.

For a lot of men, the default setting in those moments is to shut down. Go into the cave. Isolate. Try to process the feeling alone so no one sees the struggle.

The "Lone Wolf" mentality is a trap. Isolation doesn't heal wounds; it keeps them open, and at this time of year the weight can feel even heavier.

The difference between staying down and getting back up usually comes down to one thing: Community.

It’s a powerful reminder for all of us: We don't have to carry the heavy stuff alone. True resilience isn't about being bulletproof; it's about knowing who to call when things get tough.

If you’re hurting or holding onto something heavy this week, tonight, you have a safe place to share it.

Join us on our regular summer walk to Lawson's Lookout.

Springwood, we know this week has been chaos.

Between the train delays, traffic chaos, the house fire in our community, and the general overwhelming rush of the Christmas countdown. It’s been a lot!

When the world feels this loud and stressful, your mental health can take the hit first.

Walk It Off is your consistent, reliable hour in the middle of the week to intentionally disconnect from the external pressure and chaos.

It’s a safe space to walk, talk, and get the specific weight of the last week off your chest with people who genuinely understand the local struggle.

Happy International Mens Day!

Today isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s a global opportunity to appreciate the men in our lives and the positive contributions they make to our world, our families, and our communities.

But it’s also about something deeper.
The objectives of International Men's Day are guided by 6 Key Pillars, which align perfectly with everything we stand for at Walk It Off:

1️⃣ To promote positive male role models: Not just movie stars and sportsmen, but everyday, working-class men who are living decent, honest lives.
2️⃣ To celebrate men’s positive contributions. To society, community, family, marriage, child care, the environment and much more.
3️⃣ To focus on men’s health and wellbeing: Social, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
4️⃣ To highlight discrimination against men: In areas of social services, social attitudes and expectations, and law.
5️⃣ To improve gender relations and promote gender equality.
6️⃣ To create a safer, better world: Where people can be safe and grow to reach their full potential.

At Walk It Off, we see these pillars in action every single day. Every time a man shows up to walk side-by-side with his mates, he is prioritising his health (Pillar 3) and becoming a role model for those around him (Pillar 1).

Take action today. The best way to celebrate is to look after yourself and your mates. Our groups are walking tonight in various locations across Sydney and the Central Coast.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, let today be the day.
