Community spirit in action!
Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Ms Dai Le MP, Federal Member for Fowler, to CSV. It was a wonderful opportunity to share what makes our village so special and to say thank you for her support through the Stronger Communities Programme.
This grant will help us make life safer, easier, and more enjoyable for our residents — ensuring everyone can move around with greater confidence and independence.
A big thank you to our residents and staff for everything you do every day to make CSV a place we’re all proud to call home — and to Ms Le for championing grassroots projects that make a real difference. 💙

Lead a team of over 180 staff members. Step in the shoes of the DON in their absence. Manage and keep up the clinical governance framework compliance.

A Statement from the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) about coronavirus (COVID-19) was received on March 17, regarding recommendations to residential aged care facilities (This can be found on the previous posting).

Cardinal Stepinac Village would like to reassure all, that we have taken this outbreak very seriously. We are very well trained to deal with any such outbreaks. and we are fully compliant with all recommendations. From these recommendations, because it was not previously mentioned, we wish to highlight that children 16 or younger should not come into the facility.

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and support so far, during this testing period.

Cardinal Stepinac Village takes infection control very seriously, and we have effective measures in place regardless of the current infection, as is with covid - 19 currently. We also receive daily updates from the department of health, from whom we take direction. So far we have asked those with signs and symptoms of the cold and flu, and those who have recently come back from at risk countries not to visit the facility, now as per the most recent announcement below, we ask everyone, in the interest of our most vulnerable to refrain from visiting CSV unless essential.

"The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that COVID-19 is a pandemic.
Currently, Australia does not have widespread community transmission of COVID-19. To help slow the spread, the Australian Government has advised, effective from Monday 16 March, that organised, non-essential gatherings should be limited to 500 people.
Non-essential meetings or conferences of critical workforces, such as health care professionals and emergency services, should also be limited. This advice does not include workplaces, schools, universities, shops, supermarkets, public transport and airports.
To protect vulnerable Australians, the Government has also advised reducing visitors to all residential aged care facilities and remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities."
