I was sifting through a heap of old Polaroids and came across this beauty! A snap by my husband of me and our first born Vali circa 2008. It got my thinking of the how fertility and women’s health can feel a lot like a Polaroid…you see I had to wait along time and go through a hard time waiting for this Polaroid to develop!

You follow all the steps, you do everything you can, and then there’s a quiet moment where the rest is out of your hands. It’s a quiet stretch of time where you’re hopeful but unsure, where patience becomes its own kind of strength.

The picture forms slowly, in its own time. You can’t rush it or force it — you just hold it gently and trust.

So just a little care message to some of my mamas to be, while you’re waiting for your Polaroids to develop, it’s not wasted time…. you’re actually building resilience, compassion and love.

Some of my favourite qualities in a person. 🥰

Love R. Xx

The expresso sessions have been a great hit over the Spring!

A great chance to tune up in preparation for summer!

It includes a 45 minute cup and acupuncture session to help reboot your nervous system, support reproductive health and mental health!

There are only six sessions left before they finish at the end of November.

Would you like to grab one?

DM to find a time.

Understanding protein requirements! Do you know how much protein is in the food you’re eating and how much you need?

I generally work with my patients on getting 1.5g of protein per kilo of body weight. Ensure that it is well spaced throughout the day and start to learn how to count it….

Approximates….

⭐️ A palm size portion of meat =25g
⭐️1/2 cup of chickpeas =20g
⭐️1/2 cup yoghurt =5g
⭐️1 egg= 7g

1x cup coconut water

Sodium!! Are you getting enough? Signs of low sodium can be things like headaches, fatigue, muscle cramps, irritability.

Being the most abundant micro nutrient we need a decent amount of it, but if you’re eating an un processed clean diet, sauna often, working out a lot , or perhaps consuming too much water. You may be messing with the sodium water balance!

Before you go adding extra salt to all your food it’s a good idea to test first….reach out for a link to a simple $25 fatigue test!

This week’s health challenge…eat more Soy!!

A ripping little nutrient full of hormonal benefit.

Lots of ways to use soy! Beyond an Asian stifry. Try it out.

As awareness around pelvic pain conditions like endometriosis and adenomyosis improve seeking formal diagnosis is a lengthy and frustrating process.

During this time there are a number of holistic treatments that can be implemented including acupunture, CBT, supplementation and diet and lifestyle advice.

Building a team of health professionals that can support you through this process and activating a management plan is a great idea. Thinking you have to live with chronic pelvic pain isn’t!
