So many people think Reiki is about “channeling” something.

As if it’s a divine gift given only to the chosen few — the healers, psychics, mediums, the “special” ones.

One of the greatest joys and honours of my work as a teacher has been gently dismantling this belief for hundreds of people around the world.

Because the truth is…
To connect with Reiki, you don’t need to do anything at all. It’s not about channeling something outside of you. And it’s certainly not a gift reserved for a select few.

Reiki is for everyone.
Because Reiki is you.

Through practice, we simply arrive at the remembering - that it has always been there.
Training doesn’t give you something new.
It invites you to remember what you already are.

And that remembering doesn’t live only on the mat or in sessions with others.

One of the most sacred truths of energy work is that we are never truly separate. Energy flows freely beyond time, space, and physical form 🩷 It allows us to connect, heal, and hold presence in ways that transcend what the mind might understand.

Through Reiki, crystal healing and other forms of energy healing, we can tune into the frequency of another being, moment, or aspect of self, and send healing exactly where it’s needed. Here are just some do the ways distant healing practices can be used:

🩷 To help someone on the other side of the world
🩷 A loved one in hospital
🩷 For a friend preparing for surgery or birth. 🩷 By communicating with an unborn baby — feeling their essence before they arrive earthside.
🩷 To reach the spirit of a loved one who has passed
🩷 To offer healing to our inner child
🩷 To meet and embrace our shadow self
🩷 Exploring past-life memories
🩷 We can connect forward in time — with a future version of ourselves who has already stepped into the life we’re manifesting: the one who’s found the dream home, the fulfilling career, or the sense of peace we’re calling in. When we tune into their energy, we begin to align with that reality in the present moment.

In my latest article I explore the question of why we should formally train in energy healing modalities/spiritual practices when aren't they already within us?

One of the most beautiful truths about energy healing is this: it already lives within you.

You are innately intuitive. You are energy. You are connected to the rhythms of the Universe and the subtle frequencies of the unseen. So when people feel drawn to Reiki or Crystal Healing, it’s rarely about learning something new. It’s about remembering what’s always been there.

But while the gift itself is innate, the path of learning and training offers something profound. It anchors what’s intuitive into conscious understanding. It gives form to the formless — grounding your gifts so they can be shared with clarity, confidence, and integrity.

While your gifts are innate, formal training offers something deeply transformative:

Just like we can tune in to the energy of our own self, we can also connect to the energy of our home.

Have you tried using Reiki to “listen” to your home? Through Reiki we can connect with its wisdom and what it might be asking for...

Every space holds energy. And it's not until we take a moment to pause and listen that we can understand what it needs. Some rooms may feel light and vibrant, while others might feel heavy, forgotten, or closed off.

When you truly the take time to scan your home room by room, you can begin to sense where the energy flows freely and where it feels stagnant or blocked.

Don’t forget the overlooked spaces — the laundry, storage cupboards, the corners you rarely visit. Energy flows everywhere. And these places may hold what we’ve avoided or outgrown.

As you connect with Reiki, invite harmony back into your home. Ask:
- What does this space need?
- What energy wants to be released?
- How can I support this home to support me?

Your home is a living, breathing extension of your energy. When you nourish this sacred part of your inner world, you will also notice the benefits and flow in your outer world.

This week I've shared about my journey to Mt. Kurama in 2023. I thought it would simply be a meaningful stop on my Reiki journey — a chance to see where Reiki was born and to honour Mikao Usui-Sensei, the founder of our practice.

But what unfolded was far more profound than I could ever have imagined.

And it's exactly why I am returning in April 2026 with a group of my Reiki Master students, to host a 4-day tour together with one of my own teachers Bruce Taylor from 🙏

Long before Mikao Usui-Sensei undertook his 21-day retreat there in 1922, Mount Kurama was already a revered spiritual mountain in Japan, known for its powerful energy and deep connection to nature and the Universe.

For any Reiki student or practitioner, visiting Mount Kurama is like returning to the source — both literally and spiritually. And as soon as you take the first steps towards the mountain, the teachings begin.

It wasn’t just another level of practice; it felt like another level of initiation — an unspoken attunement from the mountain itself.

Kurama taught me something that no manual or course could ever fully express. It is not only a historical site — it’s a living, breathing classroom. Every step of the trail mirrors our own inner journey as Reiki practitioners:

- to open our hearts.
- to deepen trust and devotion.
- and remind us of our oneness — where separation falls away and we remember our true nature.

Of course, it's a deeper connection to Reiki’s origins and lineage but it also offers space for reflection, renewal and intuitive expansion as well as a “next level” of Reiki training — beyond books, beyond technique.

I am so excited for our Reiki Tour in April 2026. It's a unique itinerary that I have crafted with Bruce - it's everything I have wanted to experience myself and now I'm so excited to share it with you. The perfect combination of teaching, guidance, practice, reflection and the space for you to be... Reiki!
