Lonneke has worked most of her career in private practice supporting adolescents and adults with anxiety/stress, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Over the years she has gained a special interest in grief & loss, supporting new and expecting parents in the perinatal period, and supporting people that struggle with major life transitions. She is currently completing a specialised degree in the area of perinatal mental health.

Lonneke’s therapeutic approach is tailored to her clients’ needs and she draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Relational Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Lucy has experience across inpatient, residential and community health settings. She has a particular interest in eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns and has undertaken additional training in this area. Lucy adopts a non-diet, health not weight approach and values supporting people to build a peaceful relationship with food and their bodies wherever they are in their recovery journey.

Her therapeutic approach is integrated, flexible and trauma-informed, incorporating evidence-based treatments to fit the needs and values of the individual. These include, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Last week we welcomed Lonneke & Lucy. Our new clinicians who will be joining our Clinical Team in the coming weeks😊

Lonneke is currently extending her knowledge in the area of perinatal mental health and will be with us on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Lucy also works for the Butterfly Foundation and a private hospital, with a passion for supporting people with eating disorders, available Tuesdays and Fridays.
