🤱🏻Breastfeeding Update for Baby E and I 💕

Cluster fed on Day 1 and brought my milk in by the evening of Day 2.

She was quite tight in her jaw and neck after birth so I did end up with some ni**le damage (now healed with tissue donut and ni**le balm between feeds) as well as massaging the cheeks and jaw.

Feeds are a combo of side-lying and upright positioning - whatever is more comfortable for E and I at the time.

She takes in a huge amount of air during feeds despite all my tricks and performing oral exercises, massage and stretching for body tension. We are burping every feed as well.

I do have a very generous supply so I’m only expressing enough for a bottle feed every few days - no more than that as I don’t want to create an over supply. Bottle feeding hasn’t started yet, but the intention is a few bottles per week to maintain the skill for when I need to leave E with others.

Otherwise she is growing beautifully - had a 4% initial loss but was back above birthweight by day 5 and doing mustard stools on day 3.

Our next steps are to keep up with the exercises we have been doing, have some bodywork with and see the beautiful Katie next week for a second opinion on tongue function - my eldest had a very obvious Tongue Tie, however this one is not so obvious 🥲😬

Overall enjoying the newborn bubble, especially seeing my eldest become a big brother ❤️

She’s here 🩷

“I can do hard things” was my mantra and I don’t think I ever truly believed that I could until yesterday morning. 💕

I’ll post more about her speedy and intense birth soon - but I do want to give a HUGE shoutout to my AMAZING birth team from I absolutely could not have done it without you - Bela, Kaitlin, my student Amelia and Dr Kelly. And my no.1 cheerleader Callum 🩷

Feeling incredibly grateful to have been surrounded by supportive midwives and beautiful souls as this little lady made her way into the world 💕

As part of my postpartum preparation, I outsourced cleaning our home. I’ve had a really hard time keeping on top of cleaning with HG, so I booked a Full Nest package with Amber from

She did a beautiful job, and even provided a beautiful little gift pack with lots of little treats that are perfect for pregnancy and beyond. I highly recommend treating yourself to one of her cleaning packages - you won’t regret it!

*This is not an ad, I paid full price for this service and love supporting local small businesses*

35+3 today and Prepping for Postpartum - last time I didn’t do any meal prep and I regretted it.

So far Lasagne and Curried Sausages are on the menu. Nothing too fancy - just the basics (including bottled pasta sauce).

I’m mindful this little lady might take after her big brother (he had a CMPA/Soy allergy - grew out of by about 18mo-2yo), so I’ll make sure I have some allergy friendly meals on hand.

What did you do to prepare for postpartum?

Is there anything you’d wished you had done / would do differently next time?

Do you have any favourite recipes?

I’m keen to hear all the tips and tricks 🤰🏻❤️🤱🏻

Update ❤️

Regretfully due to the ongoing challenges of having HG, I’ve needed to close my books to New Clients earlier than anticipated.

Over the next 4 weeks I will be focusing on providing my current clients with the best care possible and making a plan forward for transitioning to the care of other IBCLCs as needed.

Thank you all for your ongoing support ❤️

🤱🏼 MATERNITY LEAVE UPDATE 🤰🏼

I will be heading on Mat Leave from 15th September 2025, which is 6 weeks away!

I will be accepting a reduced number of new clients until the 8th September and prioritizing my current client list to ensure they get the follow-up and support needed to achieve their feeding goals, ideally before I finish up for the year.

If families are still requiring care beyond the 15th September, I will work to refer you onto one of my many brilliant IBCLC colleagues in the area.

At this stage I estimate I will be back to work by mid-2026. I do hope to take on a small number of telehealth or face to face clients sooner than that, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and enquire.

This page will remain active while I’m on leave, as I hope to share some helpful info during my postnatal journey and keep you up to date on what’s going on with myself, work and transitioning to being a Mum of 2 💙 🩷

❤️ Kyrie x 🌈

🌟 30 Week Bump Update!

So you know how 2 weeks ago I said my HG was getting better? Yep - jinxed myself! But that’s ok! Still functioning and seeing my gorgeous clients ❤️

Baby and I are going to be sharing an office / nursery for a bit. My eldest has been sorting through his books and donating some to his sister (yep the ones I’m standing on).

Goal for this week is to actually assemble the book shelf for this room (it’s been boxed and sitting in our kitchen for at least 6 months if not more 🥲).

Midwife/OB appointments with are now fortnightly which is lovely! Starting to prep for this birth and have hired a tens machine, got another birth comb (two handed squeezing this time!) and briefed my husband that if I’m asking for an epidural to get me trying the gas and bath first 😂

I plan to see a physio within the next couple of weeks because my pelvic girdle pain has hit the point where I feel like I’ve been punched in the p***c bone and the tail bone 😂 Wild ride!

Happy Monday everyone ❤️ 🤰🏼🤱🏼🍼

28 Week Bump Update for Baby #2🤰🏼 with my messy bedroom/mid-laundry folding/finger printed mirror because that’s my current Motherhood reality 😂 🤷🏼‍♀️

🌈 HG seems to be resolving! Managing with only one regular antiemetic at night now.

🌈 I have more energy FINALLY!

🌈 Back to working more and seeing more clients ❤️❤️❤️ YAY!

🌈 Starting to prep for birth including some body balancing strategies (will share more over the next few weeks for those who are interested)

🌈 Occasional Pelvic Girdle Pain which I will see a physio about soon.

🌈 Starting to sort out the practical stuff - rearranging the house and making sure we’ve got the essentials - thanks to our many friends who have supplied us with baby items ❤️ and Facebook Marketplace!

💕 I will be working up until 37 weeks’ (15th September) possibly longer depending on the needs of my clients and what’s happening with this baby.

💕 For those with ongoing concerns beyond my Maternity leave I will make a plan for support and handing over to one of my amazing IBCLC colleagues ❤️
