A big heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our meditation workshop and kirtan evening at Eatons Hill on Saturday!🙏

It was heartwarming to see so many of you come together with the intention of resting your heart and mind in these beautiful mantras.
There were countless ways to spend a Saturday afternoon, yet you chose to slow down, cultivate peace, and soak in the spiritual vibes - so big thank you to all of you!🥰

We’re also truly grateful to all our wonderful volunteers for supporting the event throughout the day, from setup to pack-down. 🫶

It's pretty hard to believe we turned another page on the calendar today!

We have only two weeks left of all our classes.

You may find yourself feeling the build up of the year taking its toil.

Pressing the pause button and carving out sometime for self-care and inner nourishment will mean you don't need to drag yourself to the finish line but you can feel the nurturing and restorative effects from you practice to support the end of year load.

180 hearts touched 🫶

Our monthly snack boxes which are packed with goodness and love are really popular with people experiencing homelessness as we are told by Nourish Street Inc who do the amazing work of distributing them to rough sleepers.

Always love our packing days, it's filled with community vibes and always a nice reminder about the power of a small contribution when joined together can make a big impact! Plus we have a lovely afternoon tea together and catch up which is always so lovely.

Thank you to all our heart-led bakers, you all rock and none of this would be possible without your monthly commitment 🙏

If you're thinking about doing some volunteering in 2026, then please reach out. We'd love to share with you about this grassroots initiative that you can plug into which we have designed to be low time investment with maximum impact.

Really touched by so many wonderful reflections people had after our wisdom and meditation evening last night and some heartfelt messages coming through this morning too.

Thank you everyone for coming along and giving me the opportunity to share my story 🙏

The Path to Happiness: Meditation + Wisdom Experience - Eatons Hill - Nov 29 - 1:30 pm

How many of us feel like something is still unfulfilled in our lives? Even though I came from a loving family, had a good career, and a stable job, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right.

Looking back, I couldn’t clearly articulate this emptiness in my heart, but the signs were there. I tried to fill my time with every form of sense pleasure possible. I became easily agitated, argued over trivial matters, and often approached interactions with the mindset of, “What’s in it for me?”

A breakup in my early 20s was the final straw. Friends would say, “Don’t worry, you’ll find someone else.” But I knew the problem ran deeper - it wasn’t about someone else. It was this hankering and why did I have it?

This question led me on a journey of self-discovery. I explored meditation, yoga wisdom, and spiritual truths. Eventually, I came across ASMY. Through regular meditation, contemplation, applying yoga wisdom, and studying under my spiritual teacher, I discovered something profound — there is indeed a resting place for an restless mind and aching heart.

There are real answers to life’s deeper questions: Who am I? Where can I find lasting happiness? How can I cultivate harmonious relationships? And so much more.

I’ve learned that it is possible to live in this world without being completely overwhelmed by its challenges — just as a lotus flower rises untouched above the muddy waters. This is a journey, and I know I still have a long way to go, but the practices, tools, and philosophy that helped me can help anyone who is searching for meaning, tired of pushing these questions aside, or feeling they have no space to explore them.

If this speaks to you, I warmly encourage you to join us. It could be the beginning of a truly meaningful shift in your life.

A beautiful afternoon with some of our heart-led bakers who support our monthly homeless food distribution project in connection with Nourish Street Inc. An end of year get together to say thank you for the amazing support they have given with this start up project 🙏

An opportunity where they could meet each other, enjoy some downtime with a guided wellness session from Emma, plus some creative fun as we made essential oil rollers as a gift of thanks to them with a free yoga pass to ASMY's flagship studio in West End.

There were tears as people shared about their beautiful experiences with the project; one baker sharing how her 6 year old son helps here make her slice recipe each month and this month he expressed to her how grateful he was for their home.

Awareness + Gratitude...how wonderful.

Such a sweet group of ladies and was blown away as everyone so enthusiastically got stuck into helping with a little extra small gift idea we are planning on top of our monthly run in December. Beautiful mandala cards that were digitalised and done by one of our youngest volunteers who helps packs each month as part of a homeschool project- now they have beautiful hand written personal messages on them from the bakers to go out with the gifts for community members for Christmas day 🫶

We missed those who couldn't make it but we are so thankful to all 30 volunteers part of this project who contribute in different ways.

Chantelle, a long-term meditation teacher, will share her personal experience walking alongside her dad through stage 4 brain cancer, and how yoga’s teachings turned a challenging time into one filled with spiritual care, presence, and love. Her 15 years of practice revealed how mantra meditation becomes the greatest preparation for both living and dying well.

Some highlights from my adventures this week as part of my morning routine.

This time in my day is so important to me and over the years I have been consciously working to build better habits (always room to refine)

The past few weeks have been demanding and challenging on many levels.

It's during these time we may find ourselves letting the things that support us physically, mentally/emotionally and spiritually slide , BUT it's in these times we need to lean into practices and rituals even more.

We need clarity and insights to move through the different challenges of life, setting yourself up for your day is essential.

My 4M formula is 🥁

🚶‍♀️Movement: Feel into what your body needs to support balance and mix things up. Movement is medicine.

💆 Massage: Self massage using warm medicated ayurveda oil in the practice of abhyanga takes less than 10 minutes and is so nourishing to the nervous system

📿 Mantra Meditation: immersing yourself in a spiritual experience to start your day has not only an immediate benefits but is gradually cultivating a beautiful spiritual foundation to your life which helps you to live with greater awareness and purpose.

🌳 Mother Nature: Take a moment or some extended time to observe and be outdoor or in a nice nature setting.

These 4Ms are me daily non negotiable for me!

Namaste & Welcome to Everton Park Yoga.

We feel very happy your journey has led you to discover our classes and offering; giving you access to a variety of ways to improve your health and wellness in the convenient locations of Suburbia Brisbane.

Amit and Chantelle have been leading a Yoga Lifestyle for over 8 years and sharing the gift of yoga in different community settings; from corporate seminars and classes, workshops, retreats, Universities and studio classes. You will find this dynamic duo laid back and very passionate about all things yoga, especially Kirtan meditation and helping people to establish a home practice in order to really experience the amazing benefits of this timeless wisdom in their daily life.

Classes at Everton Park yoga are suitable for beginners to intermediate; with different variations and alignment guidance given. Each class takes you on a journey starting with connection to breath, moving into yoga postures (Asanas) and ending with relaxation and meditation. You will leave feeling energized, yet grounded with an sense of inner peace and clarity of mind.
