While recovery from breast augmentation and springing back into your normal routine can be a relatively simple process, it is absolutely critical to carefully follow your post-op instructions when it comes to hitting the gym again.

Generally, we strictly advise no heavy lifting or upper body workouts for at least 6 weeks or until cleared by your plastic surgeon.

This also applies to activities outside of the gym like taking the dog for a walk, carrying your children or lifting heavy groceries.

You can still enjoy other low-impact activities at the gym like walking or a light jog a few weeks in, but we strongly advise you follow your prescribed post-op instructions.

What to expect after a breast reduction?

A breast reduction involves a lollipop scar around the ar**la and vertically down in order to reduce the breast tissue.

Expect some pain, swelling and bruising in the areas. However, you are prescribed medication to help with any pain you may experience.

You will be given a post operative garment which will need to be worn for 6 weeks.

These results are seen 2 weeks after the surgery!
