More evidence for maintaining cardiorespiratory fitness. We can accurately measure your maximal oxygen uptake at Granite Peak Physiotherapy.

A large study of Swedish men found that higher levels of cardiorespiratory fitness were associated with a lower risk of developing and dying from certain cancers.

Granite Peak Physiotherapy

Physiotherapist: Cynan Lewis PhD MScPT BPthy BHMS(Hons) APAM

Practice mission: To provide the best, evidence-based and affordable Physiotherapy to Stanthorpe and surrounds.

Philosophy: This is represented in the quadrant shield logo. The quadrants have Eucalyptus green and Wattle yellow backgrounds - Australian Physiotherapists lead the world and I am proud to be a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. The iconic Girraween 'Pyramid' represents the shared challenge of client and Physiotherapist to achieve peak outcomes. It also signifies that this business is a local one with local loyalties and with a local contact. I have an affection for the humassive hunk of granite that is the Pyramid - I climbed it with each of my children strapped to my back and by moonlight and have been stuck on its peak when it started to drizzle. The hands clasping one another, represent the alliance formed when client and Physiotherapist work together to achieve the client's goals. Physiotherapy should be the facilitation of healing and function rather than the delivery of 'passive' interventions. The Celtic knot heart symbolizes my endorsement of the biopsychosocial approach to healthcare, the key role of exercise in Physiotherapy and my Celtic ancestry. The open book represents 'evidence-based practice', the process of combining the best available research evidence with client expectations and clinical expertise.
