Hello Nippers Family. We have made the decision to cease using this separate FB page for Nippers and post to the club FB Helensburgh-Stanwell Park Surf Life Saving Club; along with our Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/hspslsc

Our main form of communication will be through the Stack Team App. https://hspnippers.teamapp.com Copies of email communication will be posted on here, along with any news, pictures, events, training, etc... There is individual groups for each age group, plus board training, carnivals and others. We encourage you to download this app for free and join the groups.

With the use of the app; any parent, grandparent, carer or nipper with a smartphone can know what is going on with Nippers throughout the season. Don't forget to turn on your notifications to stay up-to-date.

Cost $80. Includes food at Headies, cans at Coalie, food and a bar tab at Stanny Surf Club.

It kicks off earlier this year 1100 hrs am in the morning.

On Sunday 20 March we held our Nippers Presentation Day. It was a huge afternoon seeing more than 120 Nippers and their families attend. Congratulations to all our Nippers; the major award winners featured here, the 100% Attendance Nippers, Age Champs and to all those Nippers who gave it their best with a smile on their faces.

Thank you to the Junior Committee for a great end to the season and to all those parents who have volunteered to be part of the JAC for season 2022/23. Lets hope we have awesome weather, great surf conditions and no more global pandemics!

We're sorry to say that there will be no Transition Board Sessions to finish off the season. Its another chance for a Sunday sleep in and get ready for our Presentation Day starting at 3pm this Sunday 20 March at the Surf Club.

Unfortunately transition board session this Sunday 13 March is cancelled (again) due to adverse weather and pollution levels

The Transition Program was to run over three Sundays in March where U9 - U13 nippers can try out new skills that they will use next year at nippers and have a bit of fun.

Fingers crossed our last scheduled transition session goes ahead - Sunday the 20th!

Also, don't forget Presentation Day Sunday 20 March at the Surf Club. We can't wait to see you all there!

Braving the conditions (rain, mud and the odd bit of sunshine) our U13 & U14 Nippers participated in the annual LEADERSHIP CAMP 04 - 05 March at the Surf Club.

It was a great camp with fun activities like the amazing race, group challenges, helping prep dinner (aka: gut fish), fire on the beach with toasted marshmallows and movies. All this combined with learning about the facilities and the different functions associated with the surf club to equip them with knowledge and skills to go on and become future leaders within the club.

Well done to the participants and all involved. Special thanks to Matt (WCC Lifeguard) for giving his time to talk to our Nippers about career pathways, Lifeguarding with the council and beach supervision. Thank you to the parents for allowing their children to have this special experience with their fellow Nippers.

Hello Nippers, this Sunday 06 March Transition Board session at Bonnie Vale in the Royal National Park is cancelled unfortunately due to adverse weather and pollution levels.

// IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Competition Committee advises of the difficult decision to cancel the remaining events for the 2022 SLSNSW Youth Championships.

The Open Lifesaving competition scheduled for Sunday 27 February is suspended and further advice on scheduling will be provided in due course.

The decision is made based on deteriorating weather conditions with the health and safety of our members in mind.
